Missed this! Looks awesome. Top mincing gents!
christ lol not finished yet :)
i cant wait for the show season now.
Managed to get out to the workshop today to carry on. Finished welding up the A frame and welded it to the trailer. Just need some big ass bolts for some added strength which ill get in the week ready for next weekend when Mike comes up again :)
I did take some pics, but photobucket wont let me upload fook all at the mo :(
Top stuff that is Lee!
Next weekend ATM is a bit touch & go for me now :( ive got a job that i need to get done & out the way asap but can only fit it in on a bloody weekend :(
noooo mental image lol
No sweat pal, i've a feeling its going to be a pain in the ass drilling all those holes for the bolts anyway so thats going to take half the day. Then we need to make a start on searching for a decent barbie to bodge into the back.
If you cant there will still be plenty to do in the weeks to come :)
Its 50/50 ATM cheif, my sisters due to drop anytime now & ive gotta get the babys bedroom finished before she shÃ*ts it out kinda thing! Not really got a choice in it either :cry:Quote:

Christ your not actually planning on finishing it are you lol
Looking good
Good stuff mate :)
From what i can make out/see them welds look proper good stuff Lee :thumb:
nice one progress again lol
I'd put a brace between the nearest points on the 2 'inwardsy bits' on that, as once it tries dragging a couple hundred kilos+ they're going to try and straighten up, might be fine but better safe than sorry lol
Already thought about that dude :thumb:Quote:

Thats not the issue, the rolling resistance from a 250 kilo trailer is minimal. The issue is the uppy downy bouncy bouncy motion from bumps which *could* bend the A frame up, so we plan to brace the middle of it to the front (or rear lol) panel of the trailer to stiffen it up. Its just going to make fitting the rear (or front) bumper a pain but im sure we'll get round it.Quote:

I'm so transparent :(
I was thinking more of the inertia trying to get it rolling than when you were actually moving :p Long as it's being braced somewhere you should be fine though :)Quote:

Mike popped up again so we could do another full weekend on the trailer :)
After popping out shopping sor some bits and bobs, we got back and started to complete the hitch.
Firstly, attached the hitch to the A frame
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...6032010176.jpg
Then we started bracing it up to ensure I dotn lose all the club gear on the way to an event lol
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...6032010177.jpg
Connected up the handbrake
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...6032010178.jpg
Then we started on tidying up the join between the hatch front and the saloon shell
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...6032010179.jpg
SHould get loads more done tomorrow than we did today as we spent half the day driving around shopping for stuff!
At first (without reading) I thought "that's going to look like a stretched limo type affair" but no - something completely different. Looks like a reet larf! Subscribed! :thumb:
Today was quite a pleasant dollop of Win. After wiring up the electrics, we turned our attention to the problem of mounting a barby in the boot.
Looks like a normal Saloon boot

Hopefully more in a few weeks, want to keep the pressure up now as show season is approaching!
Haha thats class Lee i likes very lots lol
Is it getting a tailgate on the front then to close the hole, is it going to be a Joff-esque sleeping device, sort of spare room to your pikey van bedroom:thumb:
For your next challenge, put all that on hydraulic rams, so soon as the boot is popped it all does it auto stylie, proper trick lol not asking much am i lol
you mean bodge in a set of 12 bonnet lifters lolQuote:
