hey mate. about your trigger wheel. i had a look on the site you used. and the closest inner diameter they have to my wheel is a few mm over. was this the case for you.
check the street name out lol
and tom, yor van was miles away, your just jealous i can drive it better :p
The inside of the trigger wheel rim is a few mil inside the rim of the pulley yes (that what u mean?) - mine is the 6.5in outer with 5.25in inner if thats any use to you.Quote:

I'd be interested to see pics of how uve installed everything, what setup you're using etc - get a thread up!Quote:

Nice to see you are local as well, be good to meet and see what your doing with it etc.
Some bad news for anyone interested in the above - I have just had a detailed email from Martin regarding the megajolt, unfortunately he no longer supplies the kits as he cannot get them from the manufacturers.Quote:

At the moment we are building a new car for 2010 ok its a 106 but vauxhall engine in the rear if you havent been to any autograss meeting i would advise it see some good action

sorry no we use a space frame with coil overs
spaceframed vaux engined 106 on megasquirt sounds really good fun! would be good to come down and have a look round/chat about the setup etc.Quote:

where did you get those trumpets?
from tom (tom reid), a friend of his machines them to fit the r1 flanges, then theyre just mounted as normal.Quote:

Had 15mins last night so made up a shift lift from a butchered high level brake light - it will do for now until I get some stripboard to make a sequential one.

Can the lights be graduated with the rise in revs when connected to MJ?
yes it can be set to any rpm for the lights from the settings with the pc we have set ours to 7500 rpm for the shift light and the rev limiter to 8500Quote:

Hardly rocket science but I wanted to do it anyway. Personally I prefer the single shift light though - don't have time to be watching christmas tree lights lol

No photo yet but I have gone back to two single lights for shift related duties, a yellow for a 'spirited shift' and a red for a 'just about to hit the limiter' shift.
How did I miss your thread... Nice work Mr Al Reid ;)
I do like the way your engine bay looks, something about the shiney trumpets. Got a good map sorted yet?
I'll have to pop and see you guys soon in the Nova. It's been ages! I'm still trying to sort Tom his fans as well. Finger's crossed...
This makes me think that i need to update my WIP now. A job for tomorrow evening me thinks.
Al Reid? What u trying to imply?????
Lol cheers mate - the bay will look a lot better once I get my dizzy blank and mount the coil permanently etc etc. Map seems to be fine, im not getting any bad behaviour and it drives/pulls well - I think we might get a bit more out of it tho yet. Definately have to come up mate - and get your wip sorted!
Btw - sell me the manta!!!
al reid lol
So it's official, you're ma bitchlol
Can we keep this thread on topic please?
(you massive load of donkey interfering sons of motherless goats...)
Prey could you email me a copy of your map that you are using thanks dave
megajoltmaps@hotmail.co.uk
or any other maps that are out there for a megajolt
Yeah can send you some stuff through - it's not on this laptop tho so will probably be the wkend - drove past where you are the other day enroute to drapers so would be good to meet up and have a look at what you're doing etc.Quote:

When this site lets me i will put pics up
Just wondering how do you go about mapping the car? I take it you have a base map given from megajolt to use, but how do you get about inputing the values? Do you just guess a value or are there certain values for certain rpm?
Excellent build thread btw mate!
when we purchased our kit it come with some maps and one of them was for a vauxhall we used this for a wile with great results but now we have a map that a freind did for us that was even better when our new engine is fitted we get a free rolling road set up so see what comes from that keep you all posted
so it will definately run with the base map given?
Where do you go for your rolling road testing? As I've been thinking about this for mine - as mine was tuned on the road but it would be interesting to get some figures for comparison.Quote:

were the engine is being built he is going to set it up on his rolling road when it has been fitted back in the car (MBE he designs and builds ecu's) but there is a place not far from us i will get the info for you latter
