Incedent at Castle Combe involving VXON admin!

:) IMO, he overtook on a short straight section, and nipped into the racing line - WELL CLEAR of the vectra...

The Escort is clearly a much faster car, so why gripe ? at least he didn't hoon round the Warm down lap, where generally (although they shouldn't) people are paying less attention and don't have expectations of someone flying round at full pelt.

i just dont understand what upset mark? as when the escort passed me i new he was there and going to go pass as i use my mirrors. but at the end of the session to pass me on the slow down and then shouting at the marshells and then racing of in the pits where people are walking about and i know when i walk about i dont look for moving cars so he was lucky not to drive in to anyone and there was a lot of little kids about.On my first session of the day i was passed by a black evo as i was about to turn in to quarry and i thought t**t but i did not go over and smack him i just let it go

just had a quick look on vxon to see what they are doing about mark or what he has to say and nothing about this on the site???

The guy in the escort was not ejected from the circuit because he was next to our stand and carried on with his day and packed up just before I did at the end of the day. He is also a Castle Combe regular who has always driven well.

Whats your excuse for Marks behavoiur as regards speeding in the pit lane. I seen this myself because he came flying past me at a rate of knots!

One of the Marshalls who didn't even witness the event has already been on and given his opinion even though he didn't even see what happened, so again, I guess they were both banned then! :roll: or both people have been told lies to keep them sweet?

TBH I wasn't there so I'm only going on what I know, if I see the other footage then I'll guess I'll be able to properly comment, but I can't see why anyone would try and punch someone with a helmet on

I know he's your dad, so I'm not getting into a slanging match (especually as I don't even know all the facts) but there were several complaints about his driving on the day

Mark has told me he has footage too, including after he drove off, so I guess we will see soon enough

I've not come on here to lie, so lets not take this down the childish route please.

Well i watched the in-car on track footage and i think it didnt look to bad, agreed if he shouldnt have gone past at that point fair enough but dont know if it warrants a helmet smashing and even now the truth about that is not clear. Lets just hope it all gets sorted out sensibly. :confused:

according to one person on mig there was "pretty bad damage to his headlights from the crap kicked up by the escort" erm if that was the case then the whole front end of the car would be mullered as headlights are notoriously hard as feck.

He has angel eye style headlights, not sure if they are quite as tough as OEM?
