I've informed them of the necesary facts and links Dar. :thumb:
Thanks Oli:thumb:
That got them going againlol
I love this argument though
Quote:
the skyline will 100% be FASTER. The nova will, i'm sure, not be faster round a track on std suspension.
lol
Take the std nova 1.0 and spend your 2500
Take the std R33 GTR and spend 2500.
Nice driving Dar :)
they don't know when to shut up and just a applaud a guy for what is a mighty achievement. I mean its quite obvious to anyone with a brain that a japanese 'supercar', designed to be fast with millions of pounds of development outperforms an 80's shopping car. The whole point is that a guy in his garage has managed to turn the 80's shopping car into something that outperforms the so-called supercar on a circuit. (negating the obvious driver skill advantage :p )

I like how they fail to mention of that ?2500 you could include the price of the Nova... yet ?2500 wouldn't even buy one quarter of a GTR33 lolQuote:

tbh ?2500 on a GTR33 would get you some mediocre suspension and a CAI/filter/exhaust/manifold, maybe a mild or second hand turbo upgrade if you skimped on the suspension... that'd be the money spent. I know how expensive performance Jap parts are!!
What a load of tosh.
Thanks Mazz.
Oli,
Indeed they should just have said fair play. Thats what the Skyline driver saidlol He could drive the car quite well unlike the Noble driver who was painfully slow through the bends. People really do under estimate how good a Nova can be. They don't when it comes to 205 Mi16's which is the same type of thing.
If driven properly a Noble is faster around Combe than my car at the moment(Shock!). From the Dick Mayo Sprint at Combe a Noble M12 GTO3 posted a time of 69.07 with a 64ft time of 2.30 seconds. I managed a 71.37 with a 64ft time of 2.46 seconds. We are comparing a 3L Turbo to a 2L NA though.
Looking at the up to 1.8L Modifyed class which contains no Nova's I rekcon you(Oli) should enter your car. 1st place and the track record for that class is a 74.60 set by a Honda CRX. I don't know how fast your car is around Combe but I reckon you would be faster than that.
Just noticed that I also beat about 90% of the Prosche's at the sprint as well. Including a GT3 RS:eek:
But you cannot compare cars alone. Many, many factors are involved such as driver ability, track knowlage, the track, the weather & tyres to name but a few.
well, ive just read the whole of that thread on corsa sport, and that JK dude obvoisly cant accept the fact that a nova beat a skyline (becuase he owns one!)
He definetly fails to see the proven theory of power to weight!
Tbh, he must be the "big man" but cant accept the fact that his ?8k skyline is, in comparision, slower than a nova around a track :thumb:
well done dar, and is it me or is that skyline smoking rather badly when changing gear in that vid??
