Good work on fighting him off, it'd have ended up in a worse state if you let him have it.
I'm not from Liverpool, thank god! But i often visit family there. I never lock my car at home, even when parked on the drive. I've even left the key in the ignition, turned on for a week! But the doors are always locked, even when driving in Liverpool, or even when i go to Bristol most weekends.
It just goes to prove this stuff happens. I've had my car broken into, and my alpine stolen, my van broken into while outside someones house, in bradford on Avon, ( a very posh, and expensive place, by anybody's standards) and my phone stolen. And the same van was then damaged again, by someone trying to break into it.
Did you actually hit the lamp post at 30?
Could be worth getting another shell, and cutting the boot floor etc out?
Or atleast one as a reference for pannel figments etc?
I know it may sound childish, but i always have a penknife in my door card. Mainly incase I break down. But you never know for what other reason it might come in handy. But at the same time, that bloke could of been armed. And you risked your life for a car, that's insured anyway.
I repped you too dave, just for being hardcore and defending your nova! Hope you sort it out. Was one tidy nova.
Nice work Dave. This is where motion locking is a blessing though!

It's a shame your so far away, I would of suggested you the place I've used, they're excellent.
Damage looks repairable to me
Has it creased the boot floor at all ?
