The cover for the inspection pit now has handles (from a speaker/amp cabinet) ;

How strong is the cover? Can you walk over it without ending up in the pit?

It doesn't move in the slightest with me stood on it (80kg). I haven't tried it with anyone/anything heavier yet, but in theory nothing much heavier should ever need to run over it.

I'm going to visit the Nova tomorrow up in Sandy, Bedfordshire, but I'm not very hopeful of much having been done to it (I last saw the car about 2 months back).

I need to sit down with the guy who's supposed to be finishing it off and work things out. So hopefully some news soon.

There could be some progress to report this Friday. I'll keep this thread updated.

No progress to report really, aside from the fact that I've had a change of plan with the pedal box.

I was lucky enough to acquire a works Ford JWRC Fiesta pedal box, which is made from titanium and uses Alcon master cylinders. A lovely piece of engineering which I will post pictures of when Photobucket behaves.

Saw that myself, chap had 2. 4.6kg all in. Managed to stop myself buying it.
