Just need to find some pins then I can hinge my boot. Cause I'm fed up having to take it off when I pop down the shops. lol
Lol see rm can get stuff there just from post codes an house names, streets and names are only a fine way of identfying a destination if you know the jutey well!
DUNNO??????? dont matter, i will be going so fast the police wont catch me 'like' 'init' blood
I thought they needed to have a normal push button buckle to pass MOT.
i really dont have a clue mate?
pub mot for nova's ftw lol
I beleive the MOT requirement is for the belts to be E marked, they do not specify the type of buckle/release mechanism.
I am pretty sure that the Megane R26R has a lever style buckle and that is a road going car
****, should've got fancy buckles for mine then :(
they are mega
Quote from Megane Sport about the R26R harnesses, effectively yes they are buckle style and road legal as Renault got them E marked but there are no 'off the shelf' E marked buckle style harnesses. But semantics here, it is not the buckle itself that is not road legal, it is the lack of E marking.
"Thanks guys. I am pondering upon the legalities. The R26R harnesses were homologated for road use, other harnesses with the aricraft style buckle are not E marked and therefore not road legal. The road approved ones with seatbelt style latches are NAF.
Would it work to fit .R harnesses to another car and maintain legal status?"
just looked and there are none of these 'e' markings on them, ****.

no nothing exciting lol Just a pair of switches to test.
Can you not just leave the standard seat belt stuff in for mot? Would be much easier to drive on the road I'd imagine, especially at junctions when you need to shift about in the seat!
Also how do rally cars pass mot? I wouldn't have thought they had anything other than harnesses.
My harness' passed a proper mot,
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...dywoo/a005.jpg
but you're right, they are a ball ache on the road.
There "meant" to, but if you take the car to an MOT station and the guys clued up but not Anel, he will realise these are better then a normal seat belt! lol
My old Track car had buckle type and passed every time, it depends if you got a good MOT place that will pass the car as it's safe, or fail it as he's a dick and wants to be anal about it all, fact is he could get arsey as theres no rear seats and the VOSA data base say's there should be! lol
Taken around 20 cars for MOT's over time at different garages and never ever had one query a set of harnesses.
if i was involved in a accident and the only belts in the car are non road legal ones would that not void my insurance?
Not if you have declared having them.
Are they TUV approved? as thats the same as CE/E marked no?
Nope...

seems a waist me having them then lol
can give them to me if you're bothered lol
might put them up for a swap them for two (matching) harnesses
