Great idea for the beam :D
Loving the fabrication on this, where will the water pipes be running through to the boot ?
Rear beam looks superb! Good work :D
Your not happy with the origional rear beam so you go and fabricate a new one from scratch !! lol
Top effort fella, looking forward to seeing it at PV, you gonna run it up the strip ? It'd be rude not to !!
** How come you aint delocked the doors ? **
Yeah, water pipes out through the boot floor then down the tunnel hopefully...I cut to holes so far, but havn't got any further with that ...another job to do!
Couldn't bring myself to de-lock the new doors...just could't do it! lol
I'm in the middle of making up some ally banks to fit in the lock holes though... I say in the middle, but I started them a good 10 months ago, nearly finished one, then havn't got round to finisheing them off.. lol Only a hours work in them anyway (as i'm a beginner on the lathe)
Deffo having it up the strip! U heading up in yours this year again?
Found this on youtube the other day, propbably from USC last year

All that work on a rear beam, why not fabricate (or as ive always thought about, pinch from a newer car) somesort of independent rear suspension?
Good lad !!Quote:

Wheels look superb, they work well with the old skool colour.
LOL @ just going and making your own rear beam, classic stuff.
Your fabrication/welding skills are truly awesome, how long have you been welding for? self taught?

spot on !!
How have i not seen this thread before??!

You metal fab work is top notch, and lead loading? thats hard core.. as its not to cheap and from what i found very hard to get nice.
