Does your alternator not rub the chassis leg, with you running poly-v pullys and belt? Im switching mine to single v.
running total loss is fine aslong as youve got a few batterys for a days track use lol.
Id be inclined to get an alternator from something tiny like an aygo/uno etc and make that fit.
I am tempted to try and find a small alt to suit, I think a few of the boyo's on mig have done it using suzuki alternators.
The pulley has about 2-3mm clearance on the chassis leg, which is more than enough with solid engine mounts :D
I'll be using "silicone adjusted" mounts, so i'll find a single-v setup use,Lol.
Single V belt is the way to go IMO. Ive got jack clearance really.
Nissan Micra alt is one Ive heard of & Suzuki Swift rings a bell on Novas too.
Years ago my mum used to have a little dynamo on her bike that ran on the back wheel to power the lights. Surely that would be plenty lol
Or hard wire one of those solar powered trickle chargers in, it only gets used when its sunny anyway lol
and only let the nova out on a sunny day?
