I got home from dublin today to find my new Sill protectors, front discs, and c.v. joints from mr post man.
Now awaiting my air filter, steering wheel and all the new vacumm tubeing/joints for the engine. And I need to source one inner c.v. joint, and the special one for the equal length setup (think mine is knackered)
This will be a big week for updates folks, the engine is finished and i'm collecting it tomorrow night. I hope to have it fitted and running by wednesday (starting on tuesday) with the help of my good friend cormac and probably a guest apearence from some others.

Still got loads to do, I still havent got the Inlet manifold back from being blasted, hopefully i'll get it within the next few days.
Lots of cleaning to do, the bay's a little dusty, and I will put my proper painted rocker cover and cambelt cover on once i've finished with everything (stop it getting scratched)
More to come tomorrow!!
Keith

Not as much progress today as I came into some trouble with my front hubs. However I'll get this sorted tomorrow.
Exhaust now complete:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...7/100_4290.jpg
Going to make a bracket from the exhaust to the rear mount.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...7/100_4291.jpg
Equal length shaft now fitted and bolted to the block. And outer shafts fitted.

Tomorrow i'm going to hopefully get the hubs fixed, fit those, fill gearbox with oil etc.
I'm awaiting on a new engine mount, and the oil return pipe from vauxhall.
I also fitted up some of my coolent hoses:

And finally I fitted the final fuel pipe from the tank to the pump. And i've put a gallon of fuel into the tank to test for leaks.
Thanks for looking.
Keith
Clean and tidy as fook. Cracking on with it now, cool.
No flexi joint in that system?
Nope, noticed that myself, I may add one at a later date.Quote:
