I have encountered a few problems on the way tho, first being how to fit the seat belts with the cage as in the pic below, maybe need to chop and weld the bar somehow ?

Sorry to resurrect the dead Edd but how did you get round this problem as I now have the same problem all though I haven't welded the plates for the cage in yet. Not wanting to go down the harness route really.

if its a bolt in cage just keep the opposit side bolted in and use a ratchet strap to pull it in. Youd be surprised how much you can pull the cage in and it spings back. just make sure its not going to spring back with your hand in the way.
Cheers for that, never thought of that and cant see why it wont work, I did read somewhere a cage should be under slight tension when in the car anyway.
I had this in my car too but I had previously welded the cage in (silly boy).
I cut the cage in a clean line, put the seat belt rail bit in and immediately started leding the cage back together, again and again and again to ensure this ould not be a weak point.
The next time I am doing interior ork on the car, the cage comes out, and I ill do what I did with the xe, 3mm strengthening plates and cage feet, then bolted in with appropriate nuts/bolts.
Is your sport getting there?
Why not use racing harness? Most of them have simple bolts per fixing points.
I would much prefer harnesses tbh, but I would want bucket seats trimmed in Daytona check material to keep it kind of originalQuote:

I also had almost similar problem with the slider in my Spider when I want to put the GSi/GTE Recaros and I don't have enough place because of the reinforcements. But finally I bend the sliders. Unfortunatelly it's not working in your case :(
I didn't realized the "more door" belts are could be a better solution. I thought it's similar. Thanks the idea Mowgli! :)

Had to spend 3 hours clearing out all the house renovation stuff I piled in the garage tho lol
Been collecting a few bits over the last few months
Hearing it running has filled me with enthusiasm for it again
After not driving it for going on 18 months I hoping the weather is good this year so I can use it lots

The floods are crazy tbh, BUT EVERY SINGLE PERSON who lives here knew it would happen sooner or later once the dredging stopped, the river parrett that runs through town has built up so much mud on the banks it's half the size it was 10 years ago
They have scrimped everywhere on dredging and drain clearing,and now its come and fukked areas up.
Notice how all the politicians are blaming anybody they can.
Best one is that we had a permanent dredging boat, used to be parked up in bridgwater docks, someone ok'd for it to be weighed in few years back
Now they want to buy a new one lol

Picking up a new set of wheels on Thursday......
I have now finished rebuilding the downstairs of our house (fully gutted, back to brick, new ceilings, complete rewire, etc)
Taken waaaayyy longer than I first anticipated lol and more cash than planned :(
But now have loads of spare time again so back on with the Sport
Doubt I'll have it as I want it in time to be on the road this year tbh tho, needs quite a bit done for me to be happy with it

Good boy! Now go and fit them! You'll need some 5mm spacers per side on the fronts as they'll hit the tie rod ends...

Hi Edd, Didn't know you had any issues with the injection
My SR starts in a similar manner as yours i.e.
Start up
Ticks over at 1300rpm
Down to 900rpm when warm
but tick over remains stable
I had my air flow meter refurbed many years ago and was never used until I fitted the kit
Are you using the Thermotime control, looks like an ICV?
Can you post a recent pic of the engine bay, I'm lost off where you're at, sorry for not paying attention!
have you got a softer cam in now?

Yeah ICV is on, tried a couple I have, maybe I need to find a brand new one
Standard SR cam is in now
Still have that Bosch LE2 tester here. Get yer **** up here to fetch your bits and you can borrow it ;)

Have you popped the top off the AFM, iirc you can see the bit more inside as it meters.. Maybe check that's free.
