Did you use a propper spray gun? and where did you get the paint from?
yes i used a spray gun..lol..
i got paint from strathclyde auto supplies (SAS)..
got gun wash, primer, cataloy and harndener, 280 micron paint strainers, half a gallon of vauxhall black paint, 2k hardener, 2k thinners, tack rags, 240 sandpaper and 400 all for 130 quid.. not too bad.
does anyone know whati can use to smooth it down even more and bring the shine right out.. can i polish it up with a buffer i think its called that goes in the air line..
whats the best stuf to use/what should i do??
cheers
Greg
well got the spraying all finished so next on the list is to fit gsi decals, paint skirts grey and fit, fit sri interior, fit track rod ends/cv boots/wheel bearings for mot, get uprated shocks for the rear, i have got kyb's for the front..also want a set of speedlines when i save for them.. i need a 4 branch manifold and exhaust system too. i hope to get most of that done this year and get the car finished and start another nova project.

Greg
good work fella, that will be a wicked first car for you, this project reminds me of when i was 15 doing my mini. lets see some decent pictures of it built up now.
still sitting with newspaper and masking tape all over it. not touched it really since i sprayed it. hopefully wont be long til i build her back togethor now.lost notion though, seems to happen alot.ha ha
Greg
you should really take the masking tape off whilst the paints still wet. if you don't the paint that over laps the masking and the panal will crack or flake up when u do take the tape off.
get some 2000 paper mate and wetflat it all , dont get any grit in it though becsause it will ruin it , use a buffer (machine polisher) to bring tat shine back , use the G3 polish and then give it a good waxing , it will look awsome when its finished then
i love black novas
Thanks TomMan for the brace in great condition (really pleased with this)and Peter Stark for the k&n.
