Top respect to you and good luck with whatever new stuff you get into:thumb:

Thanks for the lovely comments all.
Benn - alloy battery tray already sold to the man above pal :thumb:
ste193 - as Jay said, the cage is already sold mate.
CP - a few thought it was a wind up, but it never was, I actually knew what I was breaking it before that last trackday, which is why it was so important to me personally to have all my friends there, and fellow PNGers so we could all have one last bash and a cracking time on track, to which we did :)
I will be back, in the future, but I can promise that I have nothing up my sleeve, nothing in the pipeline, not even a smallblock lol
Ste & Jay, reason for breaking it is as what CP has quoted really. It started out and was supposed to be an intentional 'cheap trackday car', and its just snowballed into some that isn't cheap anymore.
For what I have broken it for, I can buy an Mitsu Evo 7 (for instance)- which, to have that kinda money wrapped up in a car, which affectively, is a toy - is alot of money.
Yes it got used alot, a damn site more than most, but it was still only once, or twice a month.
So trackdays are what, £200-£300 a time, plus fuel (2x tanks) so another £100... so there is £3-400 per day, plus food, spares, breakages (CVs lol), tyres, brakes etc... Those 13 days I've done is around £4.5k - £6k, all in a car worth more than that itself - so turned into a rather expensive hobby/ addiction lol
Like CP & their gang, I've been doing trackdays 8 years now, and this year i've done plenty... whilst they've been good - none of them have been as good as that last one we just had... so its always been me, on me tod (other than my great pit crew, which i wouldnt have been able to do it without)
So in short (Jim - lol), I just want a bit of time out, away from my own car, I will still be on the scene, helping my mates out like they have done for all me all year.
Will i miss it? Of course I will, I've only had 12 months or little over, its come along way, very quickly, and I've said it before but I prefer and enjoy the build of a car, more than i do the final product... so I will be back one day, but with the same again, nothing extravegant...
And thats it... expect more pics next Saturday when Me, Ernie & nova ian will be ripping the rest of the car to bits all drinking Cider with Santa hats on :D
well said olly , thread has got loads of info in it which im sure wont disapear anytime soon lol ,
shame i didnt get to see it on track but i seen it at PV so thats goin to have to do lol ,
and p.s slighty off topic but check you green rep , you go girl :thumb:

Riggy - it was great that you was at the trackday, you certainly can drive your Clio :thumb:
Ernie - Ian said he's gonna make his own out of left over wrapping paper for the comical factor :D lol
