Dye it, kids paddling pool and plenty of dye, or mowgli linked a place that sells carpet for restoration projects that might be worth looking at.

The newly made carpets are really nice. A guy i know has one. It changed the whole look on the insides.

Doesn't look it to me, trick of the eyes from the fact it's fatter I would imagine, might have have a few mm off the end though.
