Got a bit close to the bulk head at one point as the engine wasnt sitting right but a old jumper and my hand worked at a soft blocker..lol
Thank you very much, will be at the shows so come and have a look and a chat if you're at them.Quote:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7618.jpg
Doesnt looklike it but i polished the oil feed pipe..(has wax on it)

Did give the oil pump a good clean and a wire brush off, but the finish didnt really come up..
Shafts, tie bars and lower arms have been cleaned and painted. New cv boots ready to fit.
Flat/polishing inner wings and slam..... Thats the kind of thing I thought I only did!!! A man after my own heart lol
Nah had to be done, want the flat ness that the paint has. Has come up lovely and flat, but i cant get my mop in there all the way. So need to borrow a smaller one from someone.
Cheers Nicko.
Ever had a go with one of these kits fella?? Excellent as the mop heads are tiny, just what your after....Quote:

Oo no, i was gonna try and borrow a "detailers mop" one of the lil girl pc ones as the bodys on them are small. Did wanna flat and olish before the engine went in but we got excited.
Looks fantastic Benn! I spy rusty, visisble nuts and washers though lol.
Do you? I know the bottom pully is, but thats coverd..lol
Or do you mean the engine mount bolts?
Be cause they are 10:9s i'm worried about stainless not being strong enough.
Yeah that's what i spied. S/s washers, chromed nuts?
Cant finf ss washers that big at the mo.. But gonna pop to a chandry (boat shop) and see what they can do..
Safe to say your doing a good job if this is what people pick up on :pQuote:

If i had know i was gonna fit a let when i start doing the bay, then i'd have sorted a f28 mount, but i didnt, so i didnt.
F20 should last a while, but if it does die then i'll sort any f28 out.
looks nice, have you spilt some brake fluid on the n/s chassis leg or is it just the pic.
Looking the T I T S Benn top man! + Rep
No brake fluids been near the car, if it was spilt it would be cleaned off right away as it will eat thru the paint.Quote:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7628.jpg
Bit lose onthe top hat, but fits the lengh of stainless i have and the dv T piece thing ok so thats cool, more on its way to me :)
Moved on to the turbo, right by the let let there is this,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7629.jpg
Kinda held in by a 10mm bolt, what is it?
Stripped off the inlet pipe, as it will be cut to clear the slam pannel.
Now i'd like to remove this, recirc bit, but the other side has a spring on it, if i un bolt it will it pop apart? Or can i just unbolt it?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7641.jpg
Blades look ok, no movement in and out or side to side, seems clean in there too.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7630.jpg
Sat the turbo in place,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7632.jpg
Wanted to have alook at the rad clearance..
With the rad sitting back (in the tie bar mount hole)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7637.jpg
This is where the rads sits,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7636.jpg
With it in the normal holes it sits here,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7635.jpg
Which is enough clearance, so thats all good.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7633.jpg
Rad in,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7634.jpg
Ic sitting in place, gotta cut the mounts on the bottom off to get it sitting right. Will sit about an inch lower when done.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7638.jpg
Ic out lets are longer than i first thought, But with a elbow ended on in place theyt should clear ok.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7639.jpg
Now so i can plan on piping what are they all.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_7632.jpg
1. Water in? Back to headder tank?
2.Oil out..
3. Oil in..
4. Water out? Back to headder tank linking in with rad run off?
5.??
6. Pressure? To amal?
Thank you.
5 would normally be recirc dump valve to hot start and throttle left but yours looks different.
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...onnections.jpg
No thats the one on the end of the recirc, you can see that one in the ic with the inlet bit off...
ok, see it now, second one to amal
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...f/P1010123.jpg
Ah cool. Cheers Jeff.
are you putting the recirc on or can it be left off, i mistakenly painted mine shut and i'm considering disabling it
Will blocked off till the dv annoys me...lol Will prob use it on track so its quiet as the dv going off every 2mins will get old quick.
Doesnt look like the elbows are going to fit unless the cooler sits back behind the tabs at each end on the front panel?
Ive had to cut mine off and its still very tight.
What?
I assume your using 90degree elbows? Ive had to cut of the tabs (marked red) and its still very tight. Unless the hoses will sit behind them? Cooler im using looks the same width
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...Untitled-1.jpg
Looking good bud!
As Rich says tho it will be very tight to get an elbow in there! If you know an ally welder can they not put a bend on there for you?
Oh, you might want to put some more wax on your front panel before you put too many bits on :p
looking good benn,
i like your attension to detail especialy on those innerwings and slam panel the paintwork looks swell wish mine would look as good as this.
keep up the good work mate.
damen.:thumb:
where's that intercooler from benn?
I'm planning on getting the ends of the ic trimmed down and then 90o elbows welded on, this should clean the front pannel.Quote:

what do you think of the quality? what type of power you going to be running through it?
bruce
I think its is the same yeah, as it looks it in the pic and the sizes are the same.
Quality is 100%, really well and nicely welded, would tell anyone to get one.
For 70-80 you couldnt get better and better value for money.
Oh any one with the turbo connections number in the pics?
