is it painted yet?
Not just yet mate should be done soon. Will be popping to the shop in a bit.
UPDATE
I was rummaging through all the bits taken off the Nova and I came across a few bits that needed attention. They were the front tow eye cover and front washer jets. They were all a dull grey and seeing as all the plastic/rubber trim on the car is black, they had to get sorted.
Took 'em to the garage and gave all the bits a rub down with 800 wet n dry.

Then wiped them down with some spirit and gave them a coat of plastic primer

Let that dry off and returned to give them a coat of satin black.
I then let those dry properly with a bit of hairdryer action and left them in front of a heater in the front room.

A good few hours later they were nice, dry and hard. The finish on the washer jest is just brilliant, very shiny and almost look powder coated

I then visited the shop today and saw some progress. They had started stitch welding the bay, but only done the O/S chassis leg so didn't bother taking a pic.
The exterior which was primered a few days back had properly dried. The guys found a few areas that needed some minor filler work. Also a few of the swage lines were very faint, so some filler work to get them back was needed.

All for now.
coming along nicely...........:thumb::thumb:
 re doing work is a pain in the butt! but rather get it looking spot on than 'itll do' whilst you can, good stuff:thumb: getting there
Yeah, they were invisible before primer. Their attention to detail seems to be very good and I too would much rather get it spot on. Especially the bodywork lines, if they were sprayed and finished it would look pants with them looking faint or not there.
Certainly getting there :thumb:
UPDATE
An unglamorous update but an update none-the-less.
Nothing special but I did get on with a bit of work on the rear seat back. They were a bit scratched up, so it wouldn't have fit in with the rest of the cars smoothness. Had to do something about it.
Got it in the garden for some paint treatment. This is how it was

Then after a good rub down with 400 then 800 wet n dry and masked up.

Gave a few coats of filler primer to the areas that had been scratched deep and primered the smoother areas in normal primer

After drying I flatted the primer and made a start on painting it satin black. I had about 1/3 of a can left so I knew it would be touch and go if I'd get good coverage before finishing, but I was waaaay out. It only did about half :(
So rang my bro to go grab me a can of the paint, but there wasn't any point in continuing as it had started to pish down with rain and still is. If the weather improves for tomorrow, then I shall be finishing it off.
Why are you fitting a 1 piece rear bench?
Coz that was what was in the car to begin with.
So? 60/40 looks nicer and is handy when you have something in car.
Looking at the pics, why have they had to fill on the pillars? That shouldn't have lost shape...
