That's ****ing mint fab work....
Very interesting Dan, didn't know you were going for a bigger turbo etc, just wandering though how much heat will be dissipated back onto the turbo and rad with it going over the top like that?
Scott
Nice work, what's the deal with welding to cast metal though is it more likely to crack?
Wow you have been busy, awesome fab/engineering going on here.
Is the reason for the boostpipes having to go that way because of the started being in the waY?
Thanks pal, Its the exhaust pipe connor.
looks so pikey, but also great at the same time. well done matey :)
Thats what i meant lol
Today I continued the project, first off all I finished off the down/up pipe.
Welded this onto the end so it now lines up with my ashley system.

I also welded some M8 Nuts onto it so I could fit a heat shield.

Then disaster struck and I ran out of welding wire.....
This put an end to the welding for today :(
My friend Ryan made him self useful and DA'd the back panel then primed both the back panel and N/S inner arch.

Top job, any way then me and rob removed the engine, useing a...... mini digger. Lewis should have a video of this.
Basically dropped the shell on the floor and then removed the engine and lifted the shell back up.

Engine out and rack off. Next step is to stitch the bay at the back, then prime and fill.. joys!!
More Nice work Dan! :thumb:
Ment to ask this before and have probably missed it in your project thread but whats the deal with your inlet there, is that from a different car/engine or something as mines has the airbox sitting up top???
Thanks kev, the manifold is the standard 1500 one which has been cut down.
good to see it out :thumb:

Worked well though :P
Pulled my finger out tonight and rubbed down two more wheels, they're in front of the fire now drying as I used Wet and dry. Will prime them tomorrow, and hopefully have them painted by the end of the week. Then Lacquer all four next week hopefully!!

I am scared my ceiling will collapse :P
so long as you're not sat in the living room you'll be fine lol and this is why I have my car parts spread through the entire house to even out the load lol
Now I would but Mother would be to pleased tbh. She is moaning because I have three wheels in the living room... hardly bad is it :P
Now that's when you know things are out of control when the nova starts taking over the house lol good to see your still cracking on lad!
It is all under control pal,.. you know me though! I have Nova on my mind!!!
