Anyway, todays tiny update, its a good job i gave up with the hammer method because those platforms were never going to move!!!
So i sawed them off.

The thread off the platforms was left seized to the coilover,i.e. inside the platforms is now smooth where they came away from the thread :eek:
No wd40/oil was going shift that lol
Going get the wire wheel on the grinder out tomorrrow and get the threads back nice and shiny, and order two new platforms from Avo. Im hoping they screw down ok. Might even shove the tiny 7" springs on and just run them adjusted quite high... The only reason i had to remove those springs was due to the damper bottoming out, which wont be as much of a problem if i can now adjust the height :thumb:
Well spotted :pQuote:

Nice hacking tho..lol
I still don't get Benn's explanation lol Nicely sorted though, hacksaw/angle grinder fits all bolts lol
Benn means if i fit new adjusters with new springs i can get a lot more "use" out of the springs, without them being stuck at a fixed height.
Yeah the hacking went well, only marked the thread in one bit and that will clean off with the wire wheel imo.
Yeah im going paint all the exposed threads.
ahhh he was on about going for new adjusters the whole time, makes sense now, but I did say you'd only need new springs if you can't move them... nvm, obviously just missed each other in the middle somewhere there lol
lol like working with retards... Yes i was. And yeah.
Good going dude, best get and look at mine, check there not seized on!
