for the bonnet........ what about a trim panel clip and holder.drill the holder into the front cross piece of the body and f/g the trim clip into the underside of the bonnet.put a washer on aswell to make the f/g a bit easier to do.Should do the job.
Que? lol
get a trim panel clip and holder
fibre glass the clip into the underneath of the bonnet(using a washer with it to strengthen the job)
drill a small hole in the cross member across the front of the car(between the headlights) and put holder into it(maybe a bit of glue too!)
close bonnet and clip will engage into said holder and hold the bonnet down
;)
one of these or similar with a mahoosive washer on to get a good solid fix on the underside of the bonnet

and a hole drilled into the cross member for it to locate and clip into.
OR even to clip into the existing hole left from the old bonnet catch
I'm thinking that maybe wouldn't be up to the job? I understand the concept though :thumb:
Not looked at the car since last Donny day, so I must roll it out at some point and have a look at what needs to be done :)
i think youd be suprised at the strength of the clips olz.
Whatever you think though.
Remember the nut on the shaft trick???? trust me!;)
Extra pair of bonnet pins closer to the centre?
Will look **** but will be easy, cheap and quick to do...
