1.6 8v T project

Right bit of progress got my ass into gear i got my new Valeo rad a pic of the old and new one, as you can see the old one was proper funked!

And fitted in place, also just trial fitted my intercooler

Also i fitted my new drivers side window ive been meaning to do this job for ages and after all the rain we had this weekend i thought was about time so i hooked a 12v battery up to the electric window motor and dropped the arm then took all the trim off and fitted the window! Didnt get chance to take any pics of it finished as just as i had finished it decided to rain:cry:

At least it didn't start to rain during fitting! Not seen this WIP before, engine looks very impressive.

Iain, it is one very impressive engine, use to belong to Nova Neil in his red GTE, i know with the new plans this car will be almost, if not quicker then mine..

Pic of my turbo cleaned up and a lick of paint, next job is to sort the downpipe out as it has cracked and i didnt notice as it was under heatwrap.

Also got sick of buying car covers only for them to rip from the wind, the last one i bought from argos was a glorified bin bag and ripped in half in a week so got my brother to sort me out some taupalin from his work £5 and its perfect for over the winter

lol I bought one of those shltty argos ones and most of the cover ripped off except for the elastic round the bottom lol

Nice one, glad you still doing bits, i got a tarp free from work for my orange one, not had it on yet though as i still use it most weekends for a bit of scooby slaying! lol

Any more thoughts on the SR wheel?

Looking very good! Few questions....

1. What did you use to remove the sealer? Undersealer?

2. What seam sealer did you use?

3. How did you get your springs so nice?

4. What paint did you use for the misc items?
