Its certainly coming along nicely now Baz, some seriously good work going into it. Will surely be making the wait slightly less painful now. :thumb:

That looks frigging awesome.
Cheers Benn.
I dropped a few bits off at the shop this morning and gave him the material for the floor so hopefully that will be going in soon.
I've still got the cavalier tunnel if anyone wants it?
Awesome mate, that's coming together great now
Cheers David :) I'll maybe make it to totb next year if progress stays steady!
At the rate you'd been moving this should be almost done by now! You keeping us hanging now for the finished pics?!?!
I wish that was the case haha
I told him to hold off as the house I've just bought requires a lot of work but next week I've given him the go ahead to get the floor and tubs in so should just about be finished very soon. I'll update next week or so.
Perfect! :)
This looks awesome so far dude
So Bazz how's this coming along mate?
It was sitting like this 2 weeks ago and he said to go back in a week or so but I've not had time. Not going to hold my breath though.

What's more for him to do?
Still the floor, tubs rear panel and a few little bits at the front for the transmission tunnel left to do.
oh and the quarter panels to go on.
What about an engine & transmission?
I've got all that sorted. I'll need to make a set of driveshafts for the rear I think.
A bit more done. Hopefully the floor will be in, in a week or 2.http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/u...psvfkvhylt.jpg[/URL]

looking awesome. Will the coilover be in the tub? Thought you'd keep it out in the turret. To have as much space as poss.
Thanks :) yeah it'll be in the turret, it's just not been cut out yet. It's still to be cut to length as well.
Ah ok, just didn't look like room from the photos. Loving the fab work.
Those tubs look massive, great to see some progress on this.
Aye plenty of room there Benn, yeah he's done a great job with the fab work :)
There's a fair bit to be cut off them yet. Prob 2" on the width and a good bit off the height. You can see the line in one of the pics where they'll be cut. I know it's about time, I'm away on holiday at the end of the week and hopefully when I'm back it's a good bit on and almost ready to take home.
Cool update Baz! My 1st thought was that why hadn't you mounted them higher while you had the opportunity as they look to be in roughly stock position?. But then I saw you already had to tweak a bit because of one of the tubes.
What kinda ride height will this beast be at?
I haven't actually measured it out but the turrets are much higher than standard height.
No idea about the ride height yet it's really hard to gauge as the quarters have been hacked since the build started really I'll get a better idea when the new ones go on.
Ive just looked up the position I had on my old tubs and how they related to the wheel position and it was as follows...

So they were put in the stock position but just allow more inner well and shock clearance really. The masking tape line in pic 2 gives an indication of where a hatch arch would sit with the wheel about an inch from the top of the tub (from memory).
Aye I think it should sit just in the arch,if it does without having to adjust the arms too much I'll be happy. He's done lots of careful measuring working out the heights of everything so hopefully comes together fine.
I'm sure it will be mate, he seems to be doing a pretty thorough job!
Height looks abit like mine in that pic Simps quoted...
Sorry meant low wise. Std turrets. (but i'd like to turret it)
Ah I see, I prob wouldn't have bothered if I didn't need to tbh. Looks much better being symmetrical though. The asymmetry of the standard tubs bug my happiness lol.
I'll be more than happy if my wheels just sit in the arches. I'll have lots of adjustment on the coilovers though should be all good.
Turrets look cool, will take the weight/stress much better and give more clearance. Plus i could rise them a bit, so my battery box would sit under my brace.
You've deffo needed it all. And looks ace.
