Finally got the back axel mounted - tried my newly refurbed alloys and I am pleased to say that there is loads of clearance between the tyre and the arch as when I had the inserts put in I asked them to pull the arch out by 3-4mm.
Also Waxoyl undersealed both arches to prevent the tin worm getting in :-

Also been able to fit the new Bilstein suspension on the rear. The rear dampers have a 9 setting in car adjustment and the rear springs sit on an adustable platform for height adjustment - they are set on the lowest at the moment but once I have got some weight in the back I may raise it up a bit. The rear beam was powdercoated same time as the respray and is a 1000% improvement on the scabby rusty one that came off.

Fronts are the billy coilovers I have waiting to go on. Just need to plumb in the rear brakes and handbrake and the rear axle is finshed.
Enjoy
Joff
In what way are they in-car adjustable - not seen 'billy's' with this capability before :confused:Quote:

Rear beam set-up looks juicy. I take it the suspension is all part of the Bilstein coilover set-up?

The height adjustable bit is under the spring on the ream beam - works just like a coilover - the spring platform moves up and down which adjusts the ride height.
SRSpudly give me a PM and I'll give you the details - feel free to pop round sometime when you are next around.Quote:
