Yeah, when doing the sanding the paint will dull until you polish it up again.

it is indeed!! dont fret mr tek, thats the next thing ive got to do to the car. get it back up on axle stands and get all my suspension componets sand blasted and powder coated.:dQuote:

update
with needing to start building the car back up, i began with the essetial parts of the car that normally get left grubby and unseen.
first on the agenda was the steering column. a full strip down, paint and rebuild was in order to get it back to its former glory.

stripped it all down remembering to take pics of which clips and brackets go were. cleaned all the parts up on the wire wheel at work, to which is now annoying all my work mates as thats all they hear at break time now. primed it all then painted it black.

fully assembled and all joints lubricated with moly poly doly joly grease.

getting into detail now, i cleaned up the ignition barrel and bracket. gave it a prime and paint, have also painted the centre where the key goes black for uber detail.

re-assembled it with all new nuts and washers i bought from a local company.

Dunno if you'll be doing it but I'd also get the steering rack done in silver or black that would really freshen up the bay.
