Following on from the previous page.....Basically one of my missus family members was after a bigger/cheaper car and quite fancied the astra. With a little bit of cash from myself plus the astra this is the new daily runner........

Some may have seen it at billing this year? It belonged to my missus younger brother who's slowly subtley added bits over the past few years he's owned it. I painted all the genuine gsi kit for it and colour coded the mouldings. It also has my old allesios and eagle f1's too which compliments the -60mm lowered suspension. Its only a 1.2 16v but who knows when the nova is finished it may see an xe which would finish it perfectly! It currently has a bit of a mis fire but I cant see it being much (with any luck!) Once thats sorted It'll be a nice daily for me. Ive already bought it some genuine morettes lol

Joe.... Corsa b's are nice motors....Mine has the basis to be a good car, maybe a little on the small side but I couldnt pass on a good deal! ;)

yeah mine is nothing special,but it's only to keep the sr off the road during the winter and kept in the garage :)

That one looks almost to clean to use through the winter :thumb:

Considered re-doing the rust protection round the arches etc? Not saying it looks bad but maybe help?

Im with him on this, not ALL cars should be used, some should be preserved.

Imagine using dec's sport for a daily, it wouldnt stay in that condition for long which would be a shame.

corsa looks very nice, my mrs has a mint, arden blue corsa b 1.2 16v. but she wont let me touch, it lol it would look ace with a gsi kit. im going have to kidnap it off her 1 day!

the cage still looks quite blue in them pics. is that just in the photographs?

Hi Ben, Its exactly the samecolour used on the wheels and other bits... Just my dodgy camera tbh! The colour is a little blue but nowhere near as much as it appears in the pictures etc!

Cheers fella, This car is going to be a little different as said previously to the red one... That was primarily a show car where as this will be a more useable factory fit look type of car. Similar to what Keith and Andy have built etc. Im pretty sure it wont be anything groundbreaking! It will be kept clean and tidy though!

nice looking motors nick, is it a pain to climb over the door bars on the cage or not? i got myself an omp cage after and im in 2 minds to use the door bars yet, i wont have door pockets either...

Dont be gay, if it's track orientated it has to have them..

I have the OMP cage and the door bars piss the missis off she catches her tights on the cable tied padding lol

but i find the essayist way to get in the car is to reach in and hold the front cross bar, then lower your self in with your left leg first then just tuck your right in after.

Scott...... Yeah Ive seen and read it! I thought the feature was quite well written and had some nice shots of the car. The feature pics reminded me why I bought it and has removed any doubt I had of maybe going away from the standard sr look. sr trim ftw! :)

Defiantly mate, i love the SR look IMO it's got more character and looks too it then a GTE dose, and i know what i will do to the 1.2L if/when the missis is board of it and moves on, as im sure by that time my track car will be long gone.
