Nova 1.3 T40 - Project

Insanity if you ask me lol Unless it's modified to a nice standard with some nice parts or a tidy tidy Sport :)

i bought a mint nova saloon in 1998 for £25 with no tax or m.o.t lol how times have changed.

Use the 1400 bottom end with the 1300 head and carbs, should be good enough.

Full 1300 'bare' engine I think is sold to Greg who bought the Sport :)

I'll run the 1400 8v with the 40's, 4branch, cam etc

Got my panels sorted out for this and there going into college with me on Monday so I can start to prep them

Changing the doors over as the passenger side is full of wee dents and the drivers door has a wee pin hole at the bottom corner - Swapping them for 2 clean doors and going to delock them and fit remote central locking

Swapping the boot over as it has a dent on it right down the middle as if the car has reversed into a lamp-post or something and I'm putting on an early Mk1 tailgate and it's going to be smoothed as well

Started the task of undersealing as well, cleaned up any bits that looked bad (not many) and made a start with that - Need to spend a lot more time on it which will be next week and I'll just crack on with it

Had to move it as well as my mate who I share the lockup with is getting a Nova GTE track prepared car - Meant to have 140 BHP 1600 8v, Leda suspension etc

Seeing as you are changing the doors and boot lid and the engine is out would you not be best off painting the whole car white now ?

Nope - Not wanting to paint it white, if I'm going for a white Nova it's either a proper Sport or a GSi :)

Is the sport interior, small mk1 bumpers, stealths and red paint going to go together tho chap ?

Think you might need a plough or similar to pull it off.

Might look a bit strange IMO

I think it will go together - Andy's is pretty similar and his pulls off grey Speedlines

We all know alloy wheels are much much nicer in silver so I think it will work

I might look into a Snowplough for it as well just to make it look lower and meaner at the front
