^^^ lol the head is a totally different size
it isn't by much, the inlet valves are smaller but with smaller stems, the exhaust valves are the same size with smaller stems, so flow better. it might have different port shapes, but is still quite tuneable. removing the cat from my old omega 2.0 made it really pick up & go.
i just think that people slag it off for the sake of it. its been the gm main production engine for about 18 years, and there are heaps of them about, yet people will pay crazy money for redtop bits.
Because people are idiots.... End of.
+rep
People who have probably never even owned one,or worked on one,or even looked at the differences between that and the fukking world beating enterprise mileage "redtop m8"
Massively under rated engine.
But hey keep slagging it off, just coz the internetz tellz ya too.
sorry...
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Stuart again.
ive never actually driven a car with a redtop in yet i own two lol so i cant really comment. theyres loads of common problem with the ecowrecks mainly being sensor faults & exhaust studs cracking/snapping which has happened to mine. ICV is also a complete pain on mine had to be cleaned when i bought it as it would either idle at around 2k or just stall at junctions. balancer shafts are noisy and like i said it drinks fuel for a slow engine, sure if you took all the electric ****e off it and did the balancer shaft delete and treated it to some cams and head work it would be a decent engine, but for the price of cams and sorting everything its better just to break a saab and put the b204 in.
Insurance compaines-fukking scum of the earth.
Modern day,politically correct extortion.
Went to cancel the policy on the 205 and they want the rest of the premium (4 payments),seriously how do these cunnts get away with sh1t like this?
Surely that's not legal?
Cancel DirectDebit and fcuk em lol
I've cancelled mine before and had to pay a £38 'admin fee' that was it iirc.
I would do what edd said cancel the direct debit.
Probably a traders policy, Mine is the same, After 4 months if i cancel it's payable in full.
Whats pissed me off? Coming into work with 40 items to post.
Nobody seems to be able to write their name or address with capital letters at the front of each word, so copying, fixing then pasting them is taking ages.
Its a classic policy and after 120 days you pay in full apparently.
I have never heard such sh1t,i said theres fukk all point in cancelling then is there?!
