Good work Craig, v-impressed! How doe's it compare to your old 8v turbo?
Tbh the old one was setup quite well & was able to be drilled pretty hard. This one has a bigger T25 turbo someone has bought for it. I gather it was still new & unused when I bought it. Currently its boosting too high for what I want, so being cautious, I have to keep backing off to reign the boost pressure in, so still havent experienced wide open throttle. I installed a manual boost controller yesterday, but it hasnt achieved what I wanted, so may need to play with the actuator I reckon.
Quite amusing how I did 300 miles in 3 months on the last engine, but have done nearly 1500 in a month or so with this..:)
Sounds good, i think.
Glad your out enjoying it! Drive down this way...

Doesnt pick up the sound very well Sadly!
Good Times :)
I knew it was turbo but thought you had an 8V turbo in there! Top marks dont see many of the small block more valve turbos about!Quote:

Cheers all.
Actuator off = bumper, grille, rad/coolant, fan + god knows what else. FFS!
Get it done Craig !!
Prolly need a new actuator though....
yeah what craig said !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bugger! So the actuator was the reason the boost controller had no effect?
Looking good Craig. You been busy with the polishing cloths as it seems to have a much better shine to the paintwork?
Jamie
It is physically impossible to run less boost than what the actuator does, so unfortunatley as Craig said, he will need a new actuator...Quote:
