My version of a 4x4 nova that will get done!

Coming back to your 4x4 Nova project, I should have those wide arch panels from the Hot Rod Nova arriving on the 8th or 9th January.

My mate bringing them down from Scotland has been delayed with all the snow up there.

I also have some Cavalier parts and a couple of transfer boxes (one of which is a Regal locked box) that may be of interest to you or some of your customers..........

I've really enjoyed reading this thread i hope eveything goes to plan and wish i had garage as big as yours! Keep up the good work ;)

i have actualy got fairly close to getting the engine back in the cav but forgot to take pics so will gets some up for you all soon

i had a dig at ste today about getting his @rse in gear with the 4x4 lol i'm fed up with seeing the bloody thing half finished, i just want to know now if its going to work and how much is going to go 'bang' when he first has it back on the road lol

not long got in from the workshop so going to have a bath and few hours kip then back at it but to keep spud happy and as a little teaser heres 2 sneak pics of the update thats coming when i get in later

Which kit is that? the 300/22 4 pots? Ive been looking at them, will they fit under the standard turbo wheels?

rocker cover is finished in wrinkle paint, it does need to be fairly warm to get the effect but an electric heater worked wonders on his rocker cover and my plug cover lol

i left his workshop about an hour ago and he reckoned it was guna be struck up by 10pm......

just got home!
it runs and like brand new as it should im well impressed
struck up first turn of the key didnt even get 2 complete revolutions and it fired up straight away on all for idleing spot on
tappets clattered like hell for 2 mins then went silent but i was exspecting that as the head has been stood in the workshop for about 2 years
once they settled it was absolutly silent realy happy
4x4 light came on and of as it should tx box bled up well everything is spot on except the abs light is now staying on?
could this be because it hasnt turned a wheel yet?
just got things to tidy up and rear camber bushes to do aswell as the front bumper to go back on and wireing to sort then were done and on with the nova at last
all the pics will be up soon but i cannt be bothered right now as its 4.30 and i want to go to bed but keep your eye on the thread there coming

yeah to the ABS ste.
it might just go out on it suy it's self.
if not just drive for 5 miles and it should then.

Scott he has been pulling all nighters every night this week, i left his about 7.30pm on sunday after spending the day mincing on my cav, and he was there till silly am working on his cav getting it ready, his mate Dom has been texting me teaser update pics aswell lol

Oh and Rich, theyre not actually the brakes for the cav, theyre going on the back of a corsa iirc and are now all mounted up on the beam ready to be bolted on (but thats yet another project Ste has his hand in)

Bet your glad its done. Bit of a drive will clear the ABS light if that is the problem.

yeh you're right spudly, he didnt get in till 1am on sat and sun, monday he got in at 6.30am (well tuesday morning really) and tuesday he got in at 4.30am (this morning really lol)

those brakes are for his mates corsa, they're on his rear axle, does look cool

its spot on! abs sorted 4x4 works how it should drives spot on and not a single glitch with 50 trouble free miles already covered lol
i was even that pleased that at 2 am i found a 24 hour jet wash gave it a clean and took some pics enjoy

now i can get on with the nova well after i have fitted the camber bushes and a few other little niggily bits any way

Looks miles better on her proper wheels man, when you coming over so i can take her for a squirt then lol

Might have a door for the nova if a de-locked gsi one in silkviolets any use?
