Half inch might be enough with the higher poundage springs? They sound quite stiff compared to what people usually seem to run (200lb ish?)

200? Pfft pussys.
adam dont be a girl, just weld some poles in for suspension sorted :p
People "in the know" say run higher poundage rear springs than fronts, to keep weight from transferring from the front end to the rear when accelerating etc, increasing front end traction :thumb:Quote:

I'll see how they go. Might just cut the rear bumpstops off as Benn said? That'll give inch and half more travel, hmmm
And linkage is still spot on, never touching it again  lol
Baxter, it aint a drag car.
Peester-Shorter springs=less travel
Shorter springs at the same ride height = the same travel surely? It would be the spring platforms that move

Don't quote me on this as i can not remember, but i think mine had 10" 175lb springs and now runs 8" 200lb springs, if you have the longer spring you cant lower it much, but when you have the shorter one you have to make sure your wheels don't catch on the platforms etc.
My Gaz rears are 10" and 175lb and the car is really low and could go another 3 turns before the collar is at the bottom.
My Avo's sat on the bumpstops as the shocker bodies were too long, had no way of making them work so swapped back to shortened shocks and 80mm springs till I got the Gaz ones.
Scott, thats right mate, i phoned Avo today.
My adjusters are seized solid, so where it sits is where it'll stay.... lol
Went and cut the bumpstops completely off earlier on lol
Got a few inches of travel now so i'll see how that is, i like how it sits
Rear end is stiff as fook and barely moves when you press down on it, thats 400lb springs for you lol
Lee-Aye, it you want "show" low, they dont use Avo's, unless you want them permanently bottomed out.
