You allowed to drive something that big lol
lol it's ok mate it's got plenty of metal reinforcement to help me get through those tight spaces;)
Looks really good Davie mate ! Will have a look at your inlet the next time Iam over next weekend all going well mate
Any updates mate?
Not really mate, managed to snap the second banjo bolt on my inlet manifold so I'm on the lookout for yet another one lol
Been messing about with wheel I had laying about the garage an have decided on Clio steelies and wheel trims;)
Unfortunately the rear axle is starting to show it's age with alot of rust appearing :(
Few pics...

What's everyone's thoughts on the height of the back of the car? I plan to lower the front down another 20mm.
David
I think once the front is down another 20mm, it'll look quite balanced. I like the wheels, will look good black or silver but in my opinion, loose the wheel trims, steelies will look better as steelies.
Cheers Marc, hopefully get another bolt soon then get a mechanic to check over every nut and bolt incase I have missed anything or forgot to do something since it's been so long in the making.
I snapped one of the four manifold to exhaust bolts and am running on 3 out of 4 just now.........but if you only have the 2 then 1 out of 2 might not do even temporarily lol
It's actually the banjo bolt on the inlet that I snapped mate:(
http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...psc0dec49c.jpg
oops! I'm not even going to look for a new exhaust manifold, once I get time I think I'll find a machine shop and see what they can do with it. If you can't get a new one perhaps an alternative but for you it really has to be air tight....I'm sure you'll get it sorted one way or another.
Surely thats just water into the inlet? I would just sack it off all together
Yea i reckon, of top of me head the air is just a rocker breather? So plug it and be done with it. Ill have a look at mine when i get down today and stick a photo up for ya
Got to say the Clio trims suit it quite well :thumb:
Your just too buff David, less strength with the next banjo eh lol
Stance of the car looks spot on as it sits mate :thumb:
Cheers Bazza mate, I thought it looked quite smart:)
Lol kev you sure are a charmer;) lol ave bought a set of 100mm rear springs to try but they will most likely stay in the garage:$
The hole is a breather to the rocker mate, block it off. Coulnt get a pic of mine as the vac hoses from the throttle body run above it but i aint running the water to it
Got bored and decided to clean up inlet manifold number 2 lol

Come up a treat that has!
happy days :)
Cheers skud52, it unfortunately didn't all clean up as well but it's not too bad:)
Managed to get it refitted. Got a few wee bits to go over and check then if it starts and runs ok it may see knockhill this year.
Anyway I've stripped the transit ready for painting so had to put the nova on the back to give me space to work on it....

Which ever line the engine up straight and doesn't hit the bonnet.
Tbh it doesnt look strait but it would hit the bonnet if it was raised i think:(
I think it may be cursed:( it wont start now. Just one click and thats it.
That was with a booster pack mate. Hope its not needing another starter
Try sticking a jump lead on the engine somewhere and earthing it? Might help
GAVE UP ON THIS ONE GUYS :(
the car will hopefully belong to a nova fanatic in the very near future.
I would just like to say thank you to everyone for all your support and helpful info through everything.
Ive met some really good people through the club and made some great friends, thanks again boys and girls.
If I happen to find the passion to buy another nova I will be sure to pop back on here but for now I've just had enough of mine.
cheers,
David.
I wondered if you had sold this it something not seen you on here for a long time! Hopefully you get yourself another one at some point when you have the motivation etc for one!
Thanks Bazza, it had been up for sale a few times but had never actually sold it. Got it into chrissy nailen last week and he got it running so atleast I heard it run again :thumb:
