Yes did think of going the space frame way but is alot more expence and the last time my mate done a 206 that was wasnt really that light.
And yes novas were just chucked together as i aint ever had one that the rear axle sat bang in the middle of the car always of to one side about 5mm

Colour i was looking at the post that was up about the standard yellow nova colours someone was taking votes on the two. I could be into something like that i did like the look of that

Awesome project mate i like it.
I would say like a few others this kind of thing should off been built on a jig as you will be supprised on how much a body can flex when you remove the floor.
I would say by looking at your photos i would bet the back end has bowed in by at least 10mm.
Welding the floor back in 5mm to the right and 5mm pointing down will make a MASSIVE differance at 70mph PLUS you have to take into the fact when you lift the cosworth floor the weight of the metal itself will make the full floor pan bow down.
Massive respect for doing the project and i am really looking forward to seeing it finished......

I reckon that it will be perfectley sound so long as it's all been maeasured up and put in carefully, it's suprising how much the tolerances can be out before anything goes wrong, i no this from experience from where i have bodged up motorbike frames with bits of tube and straightend them with scaffold poles etc and they have still ridden spot on, so i'm sure that a few cm will be fine with a car.

and just how much weight do you think is in a floor pan when its removed from the shell ??? because when we lifted it and moved it around there sure aint a lot of weight, and not enough to bend or flex in anyway !!!!!!!!!!!! the floor pan is still very solid when the shell is removed..................

Well i have the confidence in my work and thats good enough for me.

And how many saxos and 106s do you see driving strait up the road none every single one crabs up the road and when you put a decent 4wheel tracking gauges on you see the rear is miles out and thats good enough for them out the factory.
I will see what i can do for some pics tomorrow for those that was asking
