I could really do with taking more weight off the front tho as the back does feel light - so a fg bonnet would be nice, also relocate battery to the back is on the list - all helps!

yeah pretty much! just need to track down some thin 1mm or so black plastic to cut some replacements as im not keen on running with the winder mechanisms etc exposed.

found a place that sells the 1.5mm black dimpled sheet - just got to measure up accurately and work out whether best to buy the big sheets or ones that just fit - i take it you only want fronts?

Got round to doing the front bumper iron removal - welded a washer and nut onto the brackets (cheers tom!):

Some tube glued into the bumper for spacing after trimming all the lugs etc off:

And on the car, don't stand out much really - will touch them with grey if they annoy me. Bumper now removed with two allen bolts on front and two original 10mm on wings:

The crap and muck everywhere is because I covered the seams with watered down clear waxoyl when they were done - I will get round to cleaning it up..... maybe.
