lmfao at that carpet dan!! she'll kill you
lol as said that was just the porch/hallway bit where i emptied the sheet out, the lounge was alot worse lol lol
Quality bit of mincing there lol
As per the budget theme to the car this also followed along the same lines but i am happier with this than some flimsy thing for 100 notes from tweeks and its a tenth of the cost. I'll let the pics tell the story
Firstly a secure mounting required..... (originally for my bigger camcorder)

Now with the smaller model a better base was required......

Using original bolt hole attached the new base With an allowance of an extra eye for a safety strap aswell as off the main mount......

then its just a case of fitting the quick release section and mounting the camera (safety strap still required but an old camera one will probably do)

Probably not to everyones taste, but its massively solid, cost next to nothing to build and works a treat after my quick test drive and review of the footage :thumb:
Class bit of enginering mate. Not as bodged up as mine tho.
Take 1 slam pannel cut from a nova. Bend it drill a hole in the right place then use some hose clips to strap it down good and propper.
Here is 1 i made earlyer lol.

is it not too boncy for the cam corder? i want to make a mount but even down santa pod rob from here was having trouble filming due to excess vibrations...
mine works fine. but need to get a better camera as this 1 is a bit poo.
As i have castle combe tomorrow i did a few small checks with the car as its only covered about 40 miles since last august. once the checks were done i went about putting a rear view mirror in as although i have tried one in the past it was only a suckerpad one which forever fell off lol and because of the cage it was abit awkward, as I also wanted to keep it fairly high due to me trying out my new camcorder mount tomorrow and not wanting to film the mirror lmfao. After quick call to lee he annoyingly gave me a good idea which i put to practice......

Sorted a few cable ties and jobs a good un :thumb:
Then onto another old creation of mine the dreaded tyre rack. I initially designed it around my old khumo track tyres so was not looking forward to having to modify for my inters. As luck would have it they fell straight in nice and snug so come wet or dry tomorrow i can have some fun :D

It is crude but serves the purpose well and holds them a treat
Love the tyre rack!:thumb:
Works really well.
