Arches were fine, Ade just put a skim of filler on to get rid of the very slight dimples caused by the heat from arch lips being spot welded at the factory.
I never even noticed!!!
Attention to detail is superb, them doors are brand nw IIRC? saw you gettin them at billing...
Could you PM me a price of a respray from Ade please, Bare shell? if thats possible..
this shell is awsome mate, keep up the good work, cant wait to see it i the flesh in the new year. top work.
That looks awesome. Those new shell are hard to find. I have to take pic of my other shell what is model 1985 and still in pretty good shape. Only thing now it's out side and rusting

Looks like an awesome project, do you want it moving to the projects section?

Its a sport so MK1 wings are definite
Didnt realise its a sport, though I did spy the brown chequed seats.
Not enough mk1 Novas about IMO. Too many have GSi facelifts, its got boring.
Very nice mate, look forward to seeing progress on this
Yes, it has the brown check interior, all present & correct, including a very mint drivers seat...Quote:

I've also managed to get hold of a GE rose jointed quickshift after a long while searching:D

should be good when its all done
have u a date in mind??
nice linkage. Looks less cumbersome than the so-called HH linkages.
where u source the linkage mate
Looking at finishing it for the 2008 show season as I've got my wedding to sort this year.
Going to spend a bit of money on the engine & box to get them as good as the thest of the car;)
Found guy selling GE quickshift on a rally website, just dropped lucky as I don't go on there much but I saw the ad the afternoon it went on and I snapped it up straight away for a bargain price. Its hardly been used!
TBH i thought although a improvement on the standard shifter the quality of the griffiths engineering one is not all that great. The rose joints they use as standard are **** and as for the plastic bushes they are total ****e.
Lovely ,totaly lovley...:thumb:
Scott
I heard that the early ones they made were a little fragile but this one seems fine, at least its fairly easy to replace the rose joints etc.Quote:

Fantastic!
Its a bit quiet on the Sport project front so I'll treat you to some pics of my other toy. Its 888 number 9 which I bought nearly 2 years ago with 1440 miles on the clock, its now in storage over winter & it has only covered 4200 miles so far!!! Recenly given it some TLC with Maguiars Clay & 3 stage cleaner/polish/wax system.
Cant wait til spring to bring it back out.
