I have got a boss with 2 sets of holes, so I can bolt the bottom half ogf the boss, but the wheel and the top half don't line up. I keep having to ratchet off the bolts at the mo', not ideal!

You must be well chuffed owning Novacane !
Nice one. Gorgeous colour suited so well to the std GSi body.

Coo... Opel horn button. Mate had one of those on his old Momo wheel in his SR; rare bit of kit iirc....
those carbon bonnet vents look great, might have to find myself some of them :D
For all those who don't know the car !!! A bit of a History lessonQuote:

Raceline RL7's (16") - Been discontinued for years now and very hard to find in Vaux PCD/ET, mainly used by the rally boys so getting a good set is very very tricky!

Yeah, to cut a long story short for the people who are new-ish, I "knew" the car through the North West VPCC/PNG when it was built by Garry Hope. Garry spent nearing ?20k on the car, then sold it to _BEN_ who had it for 3-4 years but due to engine probs (car had a mega high spec engine)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...R/6d1c9a3b.jpg
he didn't use it much.
I am part-way through a mega-rebuild on my own Nova,

and was looking to buy Nick Caro's car when I saw it for sale at ?6000, but somebody offered more money than me and _BEN_ offerd K95 at a stunning price. Suffice to say, I have receipts for paint on the car, that add up to more than I paid for it!
I will put up a full spec when I get chance.
ok need some input. Next job is to remove the tailgate vinyl. What's the easiest way to do it?
theres bound to be a thread in styling about removing that stuff...
Couldn't find anything? am I blind????
probably... or magically start a thread in there ohhhhh ahhhhhhhh
i used a heat gun to warm it up them peeled it off then used auto glym stuff to remove the sticky stuff.
Or shall i take it to work and get the valeters to do it?????
or you could just leave it on!
LEAVE THE VINYL ON!!!!!
Keith
i think some novas looks good with it and rik i think it suits yours.
where as i thought keiths did not look as good with it on.
just my thoughts tho.
IMHO the vinyl is well below acceptable condition. You can see where the "swillington autocare" sticker has been removed, and there is some fading as well. It may look perfect on the pics, but I can assure u it is not.
I would have probably accepted keeping it, but the 16v badge is not to my taste, nor is the VAUXHALL decal but once removed, they will leave "shadow" of where they were, like the "swillington....." has done.. There are also signs of trapped moisture, and I am thinking of rust prevention.....
Sorry to all u vinyl buffs, but it's gotta go....
Think of it as weight saving LOL!!
Fair enough i will let you remove it then!lolQuote:

Dont blame you for taking it off tbh. Is the vinyl not available from GM anymore? I ask because I had a new one 2 yrs ago...
CG
Removing it makes it look like a half ****d GSi replica attempt!
If you are removing it then get some more and replace it! GSi's look so much better with the vinyl on the B pillars and tailgate.
The 'VAUXHALL' badge on the right was put on the later ones instead of the Griffin in the centre of the tailgate so imo should be put back aswell, along with a GSi badge on the left.
But that's just me.....
You could always go to a sign writing place like Keith did and have a new one made up and let them fit it if you wanted? I myself am not ****d about the vynal, its not rare 12" so whats it matter.
Definately recommend a sign writer puts it on if anyone does get new tailgate vinyl.
I have to admit I much prefer a GSi or GTE to be wearing the pillar & tailgate vinyls. The one I got only had the GSi sticker on. Griffin stickers are 10 a penny on ebay aswell.

regarding the wheels, speedline do a similar version and they can make them in any offset if you contact them directly. i spoke to someone about it at the autosport show a few years ago.
Or u could buy these off me...
Cheers Riggy. Comin up your end prob this week if u wanna look at it in the metal....
yeah just give is a bell and can sort it out :thumb:
Took the car to work on thursday, stored it in the bodyshop and got a full valet and polish before it went to Fearless Motorsport on Friday for some work... Note the small-but-legal number plates!!
