Aye, I do think I have seen it down there way back when. Did you used to get to the block yards down Seaburn too?

Sorry dude I'm local enough to the town but no I don't think I used to get down seaburn! (used to get around a lot back in the day!) was a long time ago and had a lot of alcohol (and few other things since then)! lol settle down Like an old man now! lol :( Will def see it at the shows this year though! :)
looking good tony, might not be to everyones cup of tea but keep going and make it your own pal
Cheers Chris that's what I was going for! lol
Looked awesome in pink lol
Love the door cards, will look very nice when done even though its not to my taste!
If get it in some kind of paint before its to cold and damp. Rust will set in even just with damp air...
Will your legs and feet fit around the speakers?
Yeah mate snug as a bug! Its surprising how much room there is down there! lol
Found these in an old photo bucket account

Bloody hell that was a long time ago! The first pic was with the leather trim I swapped Steve for the bucket seats that started the whole re-build! lol lol lol
Bit worried everyone seems to think it looked better in pink though! lol
lol lol
whats rims are they buddy?
Milli-miglia! That's about all I can tell you mate not even sure they make that style anymore, I know they make some similar but haven't seen any others in years! :d
Not sure on the front bumper these days though :s
Yeah Mark was thinking about that! Don't worry though I have a plan, just need to get it running first! lol
Mille Miglia M11-2?
Possibly mate really not sure bought them like 12-13 years ago! had a lot of vodka through the system since then! lol
So its been a while since I updated this post. Since the start of the year I've had to build a new garage (since the last one was ready to fall down!). It was a bit of a job just digging the car out and moving it since the whole front end was stripped and on axle stands. http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...415_101929.jpgFinally managed to get it on the truck then home to her rightful place. http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...902_175015.jpg http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...902_184456.jpg
Since getting her home I've refitted the motor for the final mock up, and im pleased I did since it looks like I haven't quite "shaved" the chassis leg enough. http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...924_190621.jpg
Even just clearing all the stuff out of the interior has made a huge difference (can see the final picture again. Haha) http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...904_182508.jpg http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...904_182522.jpg
I felt a bit guilty chopping up an original uncut loom for her but these are the things you have to do if you want to tuck the wires I suppose. This is how she stands as of last night while I was busy trying to work out where to stash the oil cooler. http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...010_200526.jpg
Was planning on re-fitting the original XE cooler but after seeing what other people had done (looked much nicer) I decided to go shopping and buy a new cooler.
Just had a wee read through your thread pal and I like the 90s look lol lairy bodykit in your face paint and mega sound system, I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on this thread in the future :-)
So it's been a while since I posted any updates on here so here goes. Since the last time the work has been getting done as and when I've had the time. I still haven't worked out where to fit the oil cooler but I have bought an aftermarket one. http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...205_182116.jpg
I have also managed to tuck the coil up behind the engine to keep the inner wings clutter free. http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...014_194802.jpg
I hope this doesn't get wet up thete and cause me running problems.
I have also rose jointed my gear linkage (using the "how to" guide on here) and fitted a short shift. It still needs setting up but I'll do that once the engines up and running. http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...2-11-54-51.png
http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...205_182202.jpg
It looks a bit rough but I'll trim the bolts and tidy it up when I get the parts powder coated.
I have also started on the bodywork by finally getting round to making a new bonnet. The vents have been fitted properly this time!lol

can't wait to get this painted and fitted.
I'm sick of buying 2nd hand drive shafts that I'm promised will fit and turn out not too so i stopped messing about and bought a new pair of equal legnth shafts from LMF. Hope to get them fitted this weekend along with the new coilover's I bought off someone on the fb site.
All in I don't think I have much more to buy for it now. It's all just a matter of polish/paint and sticking it all together!! :d :thumb:
Looking good, nice place to hide the coil too.
I've been busy tonight and finally got my shafts built up. I used the old boots off the doner shafts for now just until I strip it back down for powder coating.
http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...624_184143.jpg
I got them fitted for now. After all these years it's good to see a set of shafts that fit! lol
http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...624_185014.jpg
Unfortunately I misjudged the space needed for the shaft mount and had to take off the coil until i can modify the mounting bracket a bit.
What and why? Shaft mount?
The mount for the long shaft on the equal length shafts just pushes on the bracket i made to mount the coil to.
LMF have equal length shafts in stock now? Good progress.
Had to wait a couple of weeks but since I was in no hurry lol it wasn't a problem, but yeah they got them for me! :thumb: :d
Finally made the decision to just leave the oil cooler where it was.
http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...627_152556.jpg
Figured it would get enough air through there and i didn't have to remove my slam panel support. Hope to get the pipes crimped for it on Monday then its ready to pop the engine out again  to re-do the chassis leg for more clearance at the alternator.
I also picked this up off ebay this week just to start and tone down the lairy bodykit a bit.

Thought I'd take a little break from fitting the motor today since the next step is to whip it back out again and I'm not doing that this side of billing.
I got my new back bumper delivered today (it's a little more worse for wear than I'd hoped :( but when life gives you lemons nd all that! lol ). This is how the existing back bumper looks:
http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...701_171008.jpg
I've fitted the new bumper but i think its going to take a little more fettling than i thought. There's way too much gap under the rear lights.
http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...701_183248.jpg
http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/...701_183254.jpg
I was thinking about just moving the mounting brackets down to raise the bumper up a bit. All in i don't think its going to turn out half bad once its painted.

If anyone has had this problem before and has an easier fix I'd be happy to hear it. :thumb:
