Amazing..
Well done (Y)
So ure gona split it up to get on a plane is it not cheaper to come over in a van and not split it up its been re built iirc and there must be a ferry from there to the uk plus with your list of bits needed do a uk tour to collect them all would probably save loads and I did see bits you wanted but people unwilling to post so that sorts that
I was following that engine on Ebay as well. Looks really nice. Have fun fitting and driving it! Keep us posted from sunny Norway. :)
That is so clean it looks like its just driven out of the factory. Fantastic find.
Never seen a shell that clean, nice work :)
A pretty base model, a LS version I think.
Looks absolutely like in 1987, I think so that keep it original is the best option.
As I can see it has a pair of very rare options, the econometer of the dash and the small side skirts, nice!!
Amazing build mate!
The trip to the UK went great! Me and my friend booked a flight, hotel and rental car to make the trip all the way to Ashford :)
Here are some pictures of the trip :D
It was cold here in Norway, was delayed a bit because of the snow and ice.

:)
beautiful
what size wheels / tyres are those ? 14's with low profile ?
They are Vauxhall Astra G Mk4 15" 6-wide ET49 Steel wheel sprayed in silver/gray whit 185/45-15 tyres. The original nova plastic center cover goes straight on to :)
http://cmmotorspares.co.uk/wp-conten...eel-030412.jpg
They may rub on the outer wheel arches at the rear if you go to low on the suspension.
6" et 49, they should be miles from the arch. Wuold look great banded with the center caps in..
Wow amazing dedication!. All the way to ashford england for an engine?!. Thats about 15mile away from me haha. Car looks mint!.
Awesome build so far, love the look you have achieved, ive never seen that lower trim on the sill before, was it on the car when you got it? Strange little thing lol
Can't wait to see what other things you do to it.
Scott
...and I thought I was mad for sourcing parts in both Germany and the UK. Goes to show there's people who are willing to travel from Norge to the UK just to get an engine! :thumb:
Thanks folks :)
I have a question, is the feedline from tank 8mm and return 6mm hose?
And what is the line inlet from the tank to fuel pump? the right one? and the left one goes to carbs?
Tried to look for signs and some photos and haynes manual, but didn't find any good enough instructions
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps6c751021.jpg
Not the exact same, but yeah that looks right http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/25/vu8a7a2a.jpg
I have my fuel pump tubing the other way round. Mines on a 1200 so might be different but the part looks the same.
