Bumped into this rather clean and rust free Corsa A at the local Carrefour in Tarragona. This door is like new:

Upon my return I changed the old air intake duct for a new one.

Sourced 4 new Dunlop SP Sport 01 tyres in 175/65 R14 82H.

That's it for now.
Cheers!
Jeff good nova spotting whilst on holiday - I found a 5 door nova when I was in Portugal a few years back - no rust but must have been owned by Stevie Wonder at some point as there were dents and scuffs all over !Quote:

Joff,
He retired two years ago, so I'm free to choose any other brand now LOL!
BTW I don't fancy Energy Saver tyres on my Gsi... ;)
The choice was either Toyo Proxes CF1 or Dunlop SP Sport 01.
One corsa star. It's a rare special edition, good photoQuote:

By the way, notice the cool keyring my wife gave me... :d
Fitted the best radio there is to match the black Gsi dash: SONY CDX-M700R Black Panel.

checked my sri steering wheel, it looks like there is a slight curve... but when placed on a flat surface you can see it is infact flat.
Cheers Gary, came to the same conclusion.Quote:

Maybe an extra set of wheels wouldn't be a bad idea after all...
You know you want Irmschers mate. You really do Teee heee heee ;)
you need some soft stats in your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and the originals as spares!
Softstars will be sorted this winter. Had some small technical issues to solve first.
Cleaned the engine bay:
http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/...Picture372.jpg
The coolant hose feeding coolant to the radiator was expanding:
http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/...Picture369.jpg
Cleaned the cooling system cap with vinegar and boiled water because it was blocked and unable to release pressure.
Had to start the engine the last couple of days using my Superb and a set of jump leads. So sourced a new battery and cleaned the battery tray.

After:

Battery fitted:

Fixed the HT leads, they were fitted the other way around. I assume the HT leads are corresponding to the injectors. So injector 1 is on the far left on this picture (there is a '1' on the injectorloom and that corresponds with the HT lead '1' from the DIS module.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/...Picture395.jpg
Anyone who knows the correct partnumbers for the HT lead fixing clips that are missing in this picture, my dealer couldn't find them...
Fitted clear rear clusters with new bulbs and some new NL luxury plates last night. Not to sure about the clear rears though.. will upload a pic asap.
Cheers!
Jeff,
instead of 3 separate clips, I ordered a "wire tunnel" (for lack of a better word) off an Astra-F for my GSi. This fits without mods and looks nice. Oh wait - you want everything OEM. Errrr... let me know if you want me to look up the part number mate.
Cheers,
Niek
Niekos, is this the same as Stu has on his GSI? Isn't this too wide when you use original spec leads? I think Stu is using Astra leads aswell.
Stopped by Opel Classic Parts today. Had to pick up some goodies!
The main advantage of living on the continent!! OCP is 'only' 3 hours away... ;)
My new N/S door!!

Two sets of OEM rear shocks (will be fitting Bilsteins after rebuild):

That's it for now, the car goes into storage next week. Wil be fitting these goodies next spring.
nice parts mate,
don't store the car get on with it and get it done
stu
Thanks Stu! I need to get the car into storage as I don't own a garage. And I don't want it sitting outside during the fall/winter. I'll have to keep it dry and clean, can always take it out to work on it at the workshop and bring it back again. Couldn't find a new O/S door, so I've bought myself 2 very mint doors in Germany. Pics will follow...
Cheers!
P.s. Talking about finishing a project: are these B-pillar vinyls on your car yet?
done mate
vinyls on and windows back in
need to update my project thread with some photo's
stu
Its going to look really good when your finished it buddy.
iain
Cheers Iain, collecting all parts now. Bodywork/respray planned for next winter.
Picked up the mint doors tonight in Germany. Seller wanted to use them for his project but never got to it. He bought them from a guy who had them on his car for one year and then it was stripped. So he claimes them to be only a few years old. They look very very mint, and there's no rust. Will strip and clean them this weekend.
