Will deffo be going lower when the GAZ stuff is on and as for power the last owner said it produced 291BHP, not sure how true that is but he did take me for a spin when it was in his Corsa and it was scary fast lol
Strength wise its got a full kit welded in and about 90% of the seams in the car is been stitch welded
Its very clean underneath too:

Liking zee astra, looks nice on the turbo rims
-
Small update:
Bought an Ashley 2.25" Nova exhaust system and standard c20let downpipe which will be chopped and welded to match
Also bought one of these Nortech oil sensor blanking plates, the sump will have an 8v gasket when it goes on

Nice Coupe, mk4s really look good with Turbo wheels
-
How do your mates light fair up in the dark, do they work properly tinted, and do they pass mot etc??
Scott
-
As bright as before, that tint stuff doesn't make them dim somehow

Need an exhaust system for the coupe, not sure to go for oval tailpipe or 3" round?
-
Take it your looking at Ashly systems?
Try GT3 or Cybox on ebay.
-
Yeah I'm on a budget so Ashley is my only option. They do a full system for £195 posted.
I was going to get a centre section and backbox which is £150 but today I noticed the flexi under the manifold is blowing so I need to replace the centre pipe too :(
-
Started on the bumper to make room for the intercooler.
Not finished yet as you can see.

Also found breather pipe that goes from turbo to rocker cover on ebay so bought that.
I need the gasket that goes between turbo elbow and the downpipe, vauxhall want too much, anywhere else sells these for a decent price?
-
what do vauxhall want for it?
Its just a crushable silver gasket isnt it?
-
£35 or something like that
I think its a conical type, something like this

-
should go really well with the let in it, top project
-
Cheers :thumb:
As for the gasket I found out that Volvos (s80 iirc) use same diameter too so I'm going to get one of them and try it.
-
I got mine from Vauxhall, was £15 on the TC That's the elbow to down pipe yeah?
-
Yeah elbow to downpipe
Also going to need a 3 bolt flange to weld on the exhaust system, if I can't find a universal one I'm going to buy a gasket then take it to a engineering place to replicate a copy of it in SS
-
Got the bumper finished today.
Not 100% happy tbh because I took off a bit more than needed on the bottom right corner but not a major problem, I'll get it fiberglassed next year before it gets resprayed.
http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...L/Image017.jpg
Also cut the bumper bar

-
Looking good. Planning on doing many trackdays next year or?
-
Yeah planning on doing knockhill in march, few local lads organised it, I think there is about 15 of us going.
-
Small change of plan. Intercooler now will sit outside the bumper because I didn't want to cut any of the metal or hacksaw the bumper anymore.
Doesn't look that bad tbh
http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...L/SNV85096.jpg
Also bought this for the wideband sensor:
http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...L/SNV85091.jpg
And received gasket for the downpipe:

Whats wrong with running the intercooler pointing up towards the slam panel, then you'll only have to remove the centre brace, got to be a better option than running the 'cooler in a vulnerable and unsightly manner.
-
Centre brace is already been removed and still no space
-
So there's no room between rad and rear skin of the bumper?
-
Rad won't be sitting in the normal place, it will be in the centre and coming forwards which leaves no room for the cooler without chopping things up
-
How father forward? (what turbo? Mine rads about an 1inch father forward, so i bought the slimmest ic i could get. And it sits nicely in the gap.
-
-
this looks like it means buisiness lol will be even better with the let!! but the black cesaro's definately look much better than th eorange astra wheels!! some nice bits youve bought aswell matey!!
-
-
liking the bumper cut out, something mines having/got.
keep up the work fella
-
Cheers brucer
Bumper needs to be trimmed a little more because of the boost pipes, wish I bought one with smaller intake/exit
-
yeh, there isnt much room behind a gte bumper, i had to trim everything off to make it flat.
-
Not an update but just sharing my thoughts on what wheel and tyre combo I should go for.
Currently I have a set of Cesaros with 195/50 Toyo T1R tyres, but these rub on the rear arches.
I also have the comps that were on Linch's loon without tyres.
I'm thinking of selling both sets and buy some Pro race 3s in gloss black (ET45 7J) with KUMHO KU31s but not sure what profile to go for, 195/45 or 185/55?
Not sure if I should get 195s again just in case they rub and 55 is the lowest profile for 185 so going to look like balloons
Help me decide!
-
Another thought, what about 185/55 on the rear and 195/45 on the front?
