updates please crack on big lad. how u been any way
May be for sale soon due to taking up too much space (so I'm told), if it goes up for sale it will include the GSi interior, twin reverse euro lights and what ever other spare bits I can find to throw in with it (bottom arms, some plastic bits other odds and sods).
Watch this space.
Its not thats its taking up too much space as such I could do with the space but as long as your actually doing something on the car its not an issue really there is plenty that can be done without spending money.Quote:

Come over any night this week (or ill pick you up) and you can put the interior in and ill finish the welding and we will get it done, No complaints
Small update, got a bit more welding done and discovered some more rot  didn't do much more as Gareth had a night out planned and I'm suffering badly from lack of sleep,

Another problem area although this isn't too bad, rear panel under the boot rubber
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...4/SDC10481.jpg
Fitted the rear seats, just need a clean up, crap pic isn't enough room to stand back and take a pic and the sun was shining/reflecting off everything
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...4/SDC10486.jpg
At least your cracking on with it at last :p

Nice work, much left to stitch weld now? You not welding around the bottom of the rack mounting thinggy also?
Yeah that will be welded, didn't manage to get any work done on it today, a problem occurred else where leaving no time :(Quote:

aha!! pm on route
If you come over one night this week if your not working ill weld the rest up and get that tray plated for ya bud shouldnt take long then we can seem seal it up and prime it once you have cleaned and keyed the engine bay paint may as well give it a fresh lick of paint. What about wires? :thumb:
Tonight? I'm off today :) what about wires? I'm colour blind remember so I don't deal with the electrics. Wait, how are you even online? Your laptop died :confused:Quote:

Gareth finished around the steering rack mount
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...4/SDC10509.jpg
Then him and Danny made a plate up for the battery tray while I sanded down the hole where the loom comes through, which was then blanked off, plate
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...4/SDC10506.jpg
Fitted and ran out of welding wire
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...4/SDC10511.jpg
it smelt fresh that is all lol
Update without pics though as I forgot the camera again. Me and Gareth picked Danny SP up at about midday and went to get some welding wire and proper welding gloves, sandpaper smooth and rough, body filler, and three tins of primer (2 hi build and 1 red oxide)
Gareth finished welding the plate in the battery tray which I then filed down with the power file top and bottom (on hi power it just put holes in the car and on low power looked like pigeon poo and left snots on the underside under the dash bit, but its done)
Then some body filler was applied around the pass side strut top to hide the welding and make things look a bit smoother, it needs more on it but I can see the big difference already, also going to apply it down the welds along the chassis legs.
And between that and Gareth and Danny putting Gareth's engine back together, taking a break and dropping Danny back home it took up most of the day, although getting around Middlesbrough was fun as there was some street parade going on.
Although I'm sure I've missed something.
Putting filler on the bay seems will just crack? Hence why benns has plates iirc.
Good effort anyway bud.
Today was a semi productive day, after helping Danny SP with his car I got some work done on mine, all was going well til the sound proofing caught fire, thank **** its a slow burner eh
So there we were, Gareth welding away at the battery panel plate and I'm watching for fires couple of little ones and some sparks here and there quickly extinguished (or so I thought, hard to tell with brazing goggles on in low light) Gareth and Danny were hungry and it was my turn to pay so we got pizza and sat in the house and ate it, came back out and opened the garage to be met with alot of smoke, bad times, ripped most of the sound proofing out but it had spread quite far so had to use an extinguisher.

Cant see any damage and I doubt there is except maybe to the paint but the carpet will hide that, gonna have to sweep the dust up to find out more and thankfully it didn't catch the interior that is just plonked in as I had just bought some panel wipe and thinners and Gareth's Nova is in the garage next to mine, its fair to say I was quite annoyed/upset by this
this not finnished mate lol, PNG law states pictures or GTFO lol
EDIT Ah crap i posted to late and by **** your a lucky sod, it'll clean up and could have been a shoite load worse.
open your bloody eyes lad!
45 quid? lol
**** your ment to remove all the soundproofing and carpet etc if your welding
£45 will get you the bare shell lol and I mean BARE lolQuote:
