Which wouldn't of been too bad, but the CV joint decided it was going to rip itself in half.. All the bearings has fallen out. Maybe thats why it didn't feel too good.
Then decided to put new discs and pads on..
Also put in some Hel braided hoses as well.. Yes they are Pink..

Discs are Bremtech £26 each. Got them from Brakes International.
Pads are Ferodo £70
They better be good for that money.

Cheers Ste.. I'm beginning to like the Egg now.
Kicked its head in around Scotland.. 1700 mile in 5 days.. All at warp speed
Only problem was a dodgy lambda, unplugged it and away i went..
I've even changed my mind about the V6..
lol...
so thought about other tuning, if your not going v6? ie cams and tb's?
I keep thinking about 45's.. But with the price of juice, i don't think so..
See what i can do to eek out a bit more power.

Bit of an update, changed the 3.0 bar FPR to a standard 2.5.
Found a dodgy earth on the fuel rail. It sorted my EML light out for a couple of weeks, it came on when i accelerated. Not all the time though.
Changed the air filter and connecting pipe to the AFM, now the friggin EML light has started to come on again. It's getting on my tits.
Gonna flash the ECU tomorrow and see.
Lots of parts bought.
Whiteline front & rear ARB.
Powerflex bushes. All round.
Gaz coilovers.
Track rod ends.
Gonna try and do some jobs tomorrow.
Lets hope i remember the sodding camera.

First of all, a MASSIVE thanks to Stupot for giving me a hand. :thumb:
And a big thanks to Mark @ MCD Vaux for using his ramps.
Sorted out the mystery EML fault, turned out to be the knock sensor.
Fitted front & rear ARB.
New Powerflex bushes, front and rear.

As some of you know, i had a slight problem on the way home from the NE meet in Scarborough.
Took the box off this morning..
We took it off and found shed loads of metal filings on the inside of it..
Took the clutch off, to find the splined housing, in the center of the clutch had totally eaten itself..
So, it took another 2 hour hunt on a bank holiday to find a clutch.
Just in the middle of putting it back together..
Pics to follow.. :thumb:
Good progress, What is the handling like with both ARB's?
Shame about the box, was it a f20?
Ahh, so this is why the nw gayys have been ringing me?Quote:

The handling is miles better with the ARB's..
I was in a panic for a box last night, it is my daily. So i bought a F20 . We were convinced it was the diff. It was running a F16
Closer inspection revealed it was the clutch like i said earlier.
So we put the F20 instead.. I can abuse it more now.
Pics.

Got extremely peed off with it, so only have a finished pic.
Been out in it and it feels miles better with the 20 instead of the 16.

That looks like a clutch for a flat type flywheel and on the picture of your car it has a pot type flywheel.
How did you make that work or did you only use the friction plate out of the new kit?
Lee, you have eyes like a ****e house rat..
Your correct..
We had to use half the existing stuff. :thumb:
I really like that corsa. Would look the nuts with those two tone cesaros you had on the nova.
Luv it:thumb:
I'm just used to seeing that view of my Nova with the gearbox and clutch off so its the first thing I looked at!!
Lee, i'm used to looking at your F28 as well..
:thumb:
I keep thinking about the wheels, not sure which way to go yet.. I quite like the steelies..Quote:

TBH, nobody would buy it for the money i want..
If i ever think of selling it, i'm gonna strip it.
Really starting to love the egg gsi, yours is a good example fella!
I really do adore smoke gray GSI's
Want to build one, but I want alot of things :(:(
I'm spending the money on bits that you can't see.

ARB's
Coilovers
Clutch.. That was a kick in the nuts today i can tell you.
Gearbox.. (At least i have a spare again)
I had a spare box till Andy 017 needed it desperately.. ( Thanks dude )
Having the Let Nova, i thought it would be wise to have a spare.
I knew something would happen when i sold it.
Nice. Does look quite cool on the steelies!
