WTF???? If anything, that will make the problem worse!! The issue is with the body if the shock being too tall which means it comes up and meets the strut top. Shortening the piston rather than the body will only mean the spring wont dislodge when the weight is taken off the wheel. You dont half know some monkeys!!!!Quote:

So err, my saloon, with burgo's old 'custom 120mm rear springs on' and spax rsx adjustable rear shocks, think im ok there? lol
Car looks awesome mate :thumb:
i love that colour.i had a saloon the same but i scrapped it as i lost motivation trying to get the donor cars 16v engine going.i still regret it.love the retro sr bumper aswell!
When i wanted to lower my daily I fitted tyres that took 2" of the diameter then bought some coilovers! lol

My 1L Mk1 is sound to drive :p
love how low it is jimbo but you wont believe the differance shortened shocks make mate.
i know ive got to find some shortenered shocks yet.
gunny mine needs setting up or something and also a swirl pot in the tank or external cause when cornering its starving its self of fuel (even with a full overflowing tank)
Strange, mine seems to be ok, gives the odd cough now and then. Even under hard cornering, my saloon is as low if not lower than your hatch and i do like to give it some sh1t round the bends lol but its never gave up on me.
Id say check your pump mate.
the little tiny thing on the front of the block lol.
im going to have to have a look at something.
do Newer tanks from mk2 or gte/gsi have any sort of swirl pot in ?
i have a gsi tank but just wandering if its worth putting in
Oh, I thought the rear springs had already fallen outlolQuote:

well 1st thing i need is correct shocks,
the fronts are still standard shocks and the rears are 30mm drop shocks.
what does it drive like??
drives alright mate just the tyres are to big :(
just a very bumpy ride.
