What injectors did you go for then?
Scott
'Small Peco injector, yellow 480 High flow 14 Ohms'
Those ones, just copied and pasted from sbd's website:)
What do they offer over Vaux creams? any idea?
Price (CBA to look on SBD) lol
These i think are the 'upgrade' from the creams
INJ-690
High flow injector, blue 690cc, 12.5 Ohms. Direct replacement in the standard system. Used on high specification, turbo & super-charged engines
Or take a look

I wonder if it's worth me getting some before i get the car mapped, thats another thing, where/who's setting your car up?
I have found a place in Bromsgrove (near harbury) the guy does grass track racing, he does full engine set ups/tunes with rolling road etc, suspension set up's so on so on, I'm yet to contact him.
Scott
Theres 2 places im toying with at the moment, aldon automotive, or Hitec Motorsport, most likely Hitec as mick the gaffer there loves xe's, plus ive used him before and he's pretty clued up. Is the place in harbury Angel?
It's called TTS performance.
Where's that guy your thinking of using based?
He is in Cradley Heath, about 10 mins drive from j3 m5
http://www.hitechmotorsport.co.uk/index.htm
Humm, I'll keep him in mind, though theres a guy toward Cheltenham thats closer for me.
no probs m8, its an advantage living where i do as most of the tuning places are only 5-10 mins away, ill let you know how i get on there i hoping it shouldnt be that far away now....
It's a massive shame that Stealth racing nr me don't deal with MBE, they just use DTA stuff, but there so spot on, my mates took his 1.6 8v Turbo in to them so many times and had things done and not paid for it, they just give good service.
i nearly went with dta but was told to go with mbe by a few tuners who praise them, and luckily aldon and hitech deal with mbe and omex mainly, so its cool for me, is it too far for yourself to check them out? i take it you runnin the sbd taper kit on yours m8, hows it go?
Okay, today got my roose hoses and s/s clips and piped them in, also dropped the rocker back on to stop the **** gettin over the cams. put starter motor back on 2 and gonna start lookin at doin the fuel lines 2moz. does any1 know whats the best plugs and leads to run, some1 told me just to use the orignal gm stuff but that cant be right? anyways heres some progress pics :)

yeah pal just stick with genune GM plugs and leads.
ngk bcr8es i think. or something like that anyway, what we use on all the hi-po xe's round here, and some beru leads or magnecor
well this huge thing came 2day lol! as well as some beru leads and ngk plugs

that engine is sweet bud nice work
Engine looks stunning mate, shame about the m.o.t. patches
Thats the same BTB i had, i sold it in the end, as unless your going to run 300bhp it's not really worth it IMO, i just use a SBD type A now.
Scott
looking good bud! some top performance parts gone into the engine:eek: would luv to see it shift once finished:) nice..
i know m8, but this is only the 'get engine in and running well' stage of the build, once its worn in and im happy, its coming back out to have the shell done, trust me it will be flawless :thumb:Quote:

Sorry i guess i should of put more detail to what i meant, OK if your running a VERY Hi spec engine, then yes that manifold will work, but if it's a mile'd spec engine on TB's i cant see it building the pressure required to need it, thats what i was trying to say, although i think i could do with a better manifold now lol but no where near as big as the BTB one was.Quote:

Any updates on the awesome looking build?
got a load of pics coming soon, just been doing the boring stuff at the moment like wiring and piping, have just ordered my goodrich hose ends which should be nice :)
any luck fitting the dif?
yeah m8 diff is fitted, quite easy actually as i made up a tool that fit the castle pieces on the diff housing, welded a 1/2" socket to it and wound it in no probs
