well good project this mate looks well smart!!
Quick question, why use that type of under seal/stone gard on the body/bay seams? just looks a bit messy mate.
Also have you thought about using a Cav,or someother car's petrol cover "flap" so the hole is not seen??
Scott
Have the standard arches been cut out of the rear.
Whats the hole in the n/s inner arch part of the bay for?
So this was the blue one? Do you own the black one too?
It the same car Benn
Ah, thats what i thought before, so are these old pics? Or was it black and your re, repainting?
he was a bit back to front Benn. He's showed the finished (almost) pics now he's doing the project thread or timeline.
Good spot on the hole in the n/s inner arch too. I'm guessing its for boost pipes.
why did vauxhall never make a car like this for old school group B rallying? Awesome power and mega wide. cool as f**k! love it!
yea the hole in the arch is for the boost pipe and if you look closely theres the holes on the front panel at both ends where the pipework evenly comes out for a symetrcal look. bumper on or off....
The amount of time you spent masking all the bits up you could've removed them !
Always thought the car was pretty cool, finish / fitting of the arches was spot on, suited not having the skirts on either, be a beast with an LET in.
Needs an F28, equal length shafts and the GTE bonnet vents fitting the right way up tho (IMO).
is this getting a full interior back in yeah? like carpets and all?
looks awesome! always liked it, even when it was blue! not keen on the vents at all though, the way they sit on top of the bonnet and how theyre upside down. - understand why youve fitted them that way but a NACA duct would have been better for that purpose
awesome project none the less mate
no mate, carbon panels are being made for the door cards, qtr cards, rear light covers and tailgate and the rest will stay as is...Quote:

Paint looks great, how come you didnt remove the servo and mc?
just didnt lol
When you say mirror finished roof, what exactly do you mean, as in polished or just really shiny?
Jay.
the inside of the roof has been painted and polished to a high standard with no imperfections...you can see your face in it...absolutely dent free and spotless...!!!!Quote:

looking well mate, never really liked the wide body kit, but on your car it looks real well, and them wheels are class
Paint looks amazing especially the roof!
Small question tho, why did you use what looks like stoneguard instead of seamsealer??
lol, that is seam sealer, i work for teroson and have the added advantage of having the best sealer to hand all the time, the product is called 9320 4in1 spray sealer and gives a textured finish...(as used on VW from factory) looks good in real life...Quote:
