Theres some very interesting bodgery involved with this conversion. Are you sure you could cope with that Steve? lol
If you have any issues Valvercorsa, PM me and ill try to answer them. Ive learnt a lot in the last few days :)
i have heard of said bodges lee, hair raising to say the least. as someone once said to me, " eeee lad theres plenty 'o ways ter skin t'cat!" general verdict is the omega manifold (exhaust) at the back and make the downpipe meet. s'funny but in a corsa c the mani clears everything, apart from the plastic shield round the column to rack joint. must have a bigger bay. anyway, gerron with it and get pics up!
Good luck with it.
Somewhere I'm think I've read that the 2.5 with 3 litre inlets is a good move.
Why stick with the 2.5? I'm sure IIRC the 3.0 and the 3.2 block are the same size, just need to use the inlet from the 2.5 on them to fit.
Correct me if i'm wrong..lol
cheers fella's its been too dark on a night when i finish work to get any pictures up, just been gettin shell ready for roll cage and making room for conversion.
going to be using a 3.0l v6 1993(onwards) omega engine as they got the power and torque that im after, the 3.2 is a newer engine and dont really have much more power.
But the 2.5 from a vectra gsi is 190bhp.
Only due to the cams/inlets etc. However The veccie gsi inlets etc won't fit in a nova, you have to use c25xe stuff.Quote:

am going to be happy with an omega 3.0 v6 engine + they cheaper and i get bored easy :D, maybe if i like it then i got a plan for next one already ;)
i poss know of a 3.0 block and heads thats a gm recom and a c25xe....
where abouts??? and how much???
My bad, I thought the 3.2 had 220bhp or so, but it's got the same power figures as the 3.0.
From what I read on VVOC when I had my Vec GSi, the best mod you can do for the engine is a lightened fly, saves you around 9kg IIRC.
Edit: The above, plus a 4bar FPR and you should see if big difference. :)
at a byard i used to work at. ill give em a shout tommorrow fer ya bud!
typo, scrapyard, lol
yeah it going to have a valver flywheel buddy they over half of a v6 one :thumb:Quote:

omega 3.2= 214bhp & 213lb/ft (z32xe)
but think 3.2 be harder to wire in etc with it been a newer engine, so i stick to my first plan of attack lol
slothsport1
cheers mate
the z32 uses canbus, so its a no-no. but, you can use its block and heads and use the c25xe loom ecu and manis. theres lads with 250bhp 3.2 corsas on corsasport and othersites. 118118 powercrazy automotive aka pca garage in lincoln. they do this stuff with turbos aswell!
sounds fun, going to see what its like first then maybe play with power :)
how about buy this corsa put the engine in your nove fit the red top to the corsa sell it an get your money back
http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=111053
its not same is it, i have had a corsa before and nova's are more fun
dunno why lol just more raw.
like my old skool
A V6 in a Corsa won't come out and fit straight into a Nova.
am sorry i read this wrong lol
I VE NEVER A CONVERSION BUT I THOUGHT ALL HE WOULD NEED TO CHANGE WOULD BE SHAFTS AN MOUNTSQuote:

Member Trix2702 is the man to speak to.
He just completed a C25XE into a Nova Gsi a few months ago with a little help from myself.
Basically the engine went in place fitted with an F20 Box & flywheel, once in place he mocked up a front mount and got it fabricated.
The nova was previously fitted with an C20XE so existing shafts were used.
Removed power steering and got a shorter Alternator belt.
Front manifold and downpipe fitted without modification but rear manifold was shortened and welded at a different angle after which the downpipe was modded to go round the steering rack, this was all done and lined up perfect with the existing exhaust system.
A slim line fan was used on radiator due to lack of space and the landing panel was trimed slightly to go round timing cover and oil filler etc.
Everything else was pretty much straight forward.
With 3.0 ltr cams and an uprated fuel regulator these engines are capable of over 200bhp :D
The initial mocking up making mount etc. takes time but basically the car was in and out within the week!
Will be posting a thread up on this car shortly. ;)
kool matey i did hear chris astley was gonna be doing nova v6 mounts. the alt belt needed is the cav mk3 v6 non pas non ac one
sounds cool guys, just got myself a c25xe, nice and cheap so looks like am having one of those in :P
just been to see mate with engine its in a pink mk2 astra cabby :O got it running after some messing around, oil is all mushy but car has been stood for 18months or so. i have got it really cheap so not too worried. going to be making a WIP thread very soon
Nice one mate, look forward to it.
Save the effort and just fit the 3.0 to begin with lolQuote:

Iv fitted a 3.0 litre into a nova and didnt find it all too hard, the 3 litre inlet can be used but need a small amount skimming of the mating face, so the bonnet can close
^ And the throttle body reversing :p
yeah but we chopepd part of it off as it isnt required and made my own custom inlet pipe
I know. Just got all the air filter and etc to go on it.
i was putting my 3.0 in my corsa came across a few problems and still building it.
the rear manifold hit the rack (circled in pic), so i had to modify it,
