Was that a Pilbeam strut brace fitted to your car Jon? Cos I have one and the top mounts are slightly different, mine brace down the side of the turret
Ahh I remember now. It posted a pretty fast time in the MAX pod thrash. I still have the mag (2 copies infact)Quote:

Old Skool's back on the go now - Its awsome
Hopefully see most of these at shows in 2009 :D
Definetly inspiring me to get mine back out on the scene for 2009. seeing all those stickers on the back of Jons car reminds me of the days of the belgium trips.. cant beleive it was over 8 years ago when we went on the 1st trip!!!
ah, i have hugely fond memories of that trip, and all the subsequent ones tbh, good good times:)
ha ha maybe we should all get together and go out there again for a reniunion if they still do it
trouble is, i'd be too near nurburg to bother stopping in belgiumlol actually, think thats why i stopped going in the first place!
would be good to get everyone who went on the first one or two together though, drink colabeer and listen to rubbish euro techno all night long, maybe get some window etching done, have a fight with the organisers, that sort of thinglol
I'm up for a old belgium trip reunion! 2000 the first year was the best one. I've made some contacts at billing this year and JOV are planning a Belgium/Germany trip next year with a coule of days at the ring I think
i still get the odd text from niek, we would have to look him up for it, no doubt! i'll even try to get mr addiscott along
sounds like a plan to me, we need to find those 2 nutcases from Bristol lol
Looks great Jon, you can't ever get bored, especially after how long you've owned this thing! Although the pink fluffy steering wheel cover is a bit much ;)
Out of coincidence you don't ever hear from Malc that worked at Redline the same time you did? He did a runner with £150 of mine!
PROJECT PROBY :thumb:
lol, yeah, still got a number for gary i think, not sure if its still his number though...Quote:

Jon, good to see F173KVR has never left you. Good going mate. I still have all the Max P features where you did a massive Phoenix Gold in the boot. I also remember you told me binning the install returned much better lap times - result!
My Nova's are still with me as well, but being mortgaged up to my ears doesn't really help in putting them back on the road. No matter what, they're staying with me so I can lovingly restore them. My girlfriend Ellen loves the Red Shed as much as I do - need I say more?
All this old skool banter brings back priceless memories of hooning our Nova's round Silverstone (including blowing up the one freshly rebuild X16XE engine and finding a graveltrap is quite exciting at slightly increased velocity), getting repeatedly hammered at Billing, the unforgettable PNG trip to Zaragoza, Spain (that was back in '98 when the Red Shed was a wonky old 1.2!) where Walshy had to miss out, much to the amusement of a certain mister Watts, numerous visits to Bernie and Andy AKA Novatech in Slough and so on and so forth. I miss it.
Anyway, over to you Jon. Get her sorted and give her some stick round Silverstone. Oh and mind that graveltrap will ya! :D
Cheers,
Niek from that there Holland
i agree i love this car if you get bored sell it to me!!!!!!Quote:

My God, I still have all those origional Mags with all the features in it. I remember Jon discribing a 2.0 in a Nova as handling "Like a House on Wheels" and so why he choosed a small block instead. Glad I found this thread.
