depends if the bouncing is up/down like a free spring or just where it's following the road, apparently I used to "bounce" in my old red one as I drove along purely because it was sat on stiff springs lol
You should show at billing Jeff! Even if its only the sunday... try get there early and give the car a once over then enjoy the day. :)
Nick.

Little update, picked up some bits at billing and fitted and worked on the rear disc conversion.
Um concentrating in the bay still after poking my nose around and benne at pvs, the chrome pipes are actually off a vacumn cleaner that I found in a skiplol

new header also
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...f/e248ef23.jpg
rear beam bits, brakes were rusty as hell that Will F got for me, much nicer now. Beam powdercoated but I will have to use the anti roll bar of my old beam.

Nice nice, can i say one thing i'd do? Get the extra small inlet welded on to the header tank around the back. Then you can route the inlet water warmer pipe to it and have it tucked neatly out the way.
the little water pipes are the next bits to get sorted, I was trying to work out how the hell to get it to the header in a pretty way, nice idea Benn. Will look into it once I've sorted some new silicone ones. Btw- where can I get lenghts of silicone without buying kits?Quote:

If you run the water pipe under almost under the washer bottle.
cheers Benn, meant to say, have you used someone in particular that had a good choice and good service:thumb:Quote:

Both some silicone, as most of my hoses are custom shape. Both are good, auto-perf are a lil slow on posting i found, but ok bar that.
Both do a nice high gloss black.
looking well
very nice indeed
Wee update
got a new alternator to replace my nasty rusted noisy one, spent hours sanding flat and buffing before the nightmare of fitting it from underneath, bloody scratched it and after all that it doesn't bloody charge. Took it apart and broken bits dropped out.
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...f/a46f36bb.jpg
also picked up some new front brakes to go with the rear disc beam, they were advertised as 308 bit turned out to be 288's
the previous owner had only painted the visible bits but I started from scrath with acid etch primer and enamel paint. Not sure about the red yet but easy enough to change later

Cheers mate, just gotta take it back off and get it fixed, looks nice and shiney thoughlol
Jeff hows things mate,, cars looking well i like the brakes in red goes well with the black paint work and red pin stripe.... nice :)
Looking good dude, can i say a wheel re-furb is needed tho...
Cheers tommy, things are going well here, Any more news on yours? I've been doing bits during the kids school holiday. Rear beam is welded and all bits painted rear to be bolted on. I painted the rear calipers silver but I like the red on the front now I've seen it on so I think they will change to red also. Just need to order the new bushes and paint the arb.
Thanks Benn, shame about the wheels now, it's about £70 each wheel down here in London for refurb:(
Is it? Drive down my way, my old places charges 40 a rim.
Fitted new alloy rad, that popped the three way hose under the inlet, replaces that and one of the core plugs on the head holed....water leak after water leak at the mo.
It gave me an excuse to pretty a few bits, had a play with the throttle cable bracket and fuel rail.
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...f/65a2ffbc.jpg
I'm also cleaning the inlet, I'll probably paint it as it's difficult to polish the nooks
More to come soon...
Crack project, bloody lovely
I've sent a link to this to a mate of mine to make him jealous of his mk2 black xe lol
^^thanks southie
been busy trying to polish a few bits but it's right pain getting in the corners so decided us give up with polishing and paint them instead, also saving me a lot of time

You know I saw those vents around eighteen years ago and have always wanted them. I did offer for somebody to make reverse moulds using them so some more could be made. Maybe Ade would be the guy for that since he's a wiz with fibreglass and moulds.
A few more little bits done, Alt bracket and Icv
