For the price of a Honda Type R engine, guesstimate ?800? and all the custom fabrication shafts, mounts etc, youre going to be looking easily at the wrong side of ?2k. For that price you can buy or build a 200bhp XE, same as Type R lump.
It will also take 10 times as long, plus you already have an XE engine, its common as you say, but the reason its common is because its such a good conversion to do.
If you genuinely are looking into it, then best of luck, and we'll help you as much as we can, but it will be a lot of work and expesive!

My freind paid ?600 IIRC for a Civic VTi engine (one down from the Type R) he was bidding on a EK9 (B18C? engine IIRC) engine and it went for a little over ?1k :thumb:
