Likewise.
It has to be one of the hardest sounding N/A engines I've heard in a Nova.
Heres to a speedy return to track action. :thumb:

Edited - images deleted. Showed mangled valve and damage piston crown
ouch!!!
nasty
Still not 100% sure but it looks as though 1 of the inlet valves may have stretched and caught the piston crown which in turn caused a bit of the valve lip to break off. This was discussed as a potential problem because at higher revs the standard valves have been known to do this. Apparently the solution is sodium filled valve heads but we didn't fit them cos they are bloody pricey
So at the moment it looks like it could be relatively good news so long as the stem guides and valve train hasn't been damaged. I don't think there is any long term damage to the piston crown or the rest of the bottom end cos the engine has always carried on turning over OK so I'm hoping it was the valve that took all the grief.
Valve stretched, or just didnt shut in time? What was it revving to again, I cant rememeber lol?
Nasty bit of damage there.
Strange how you had to mod the crank pully to get it to stay put, not seen that problem before.
