Sorry for lack of update folks....
rite well the winters decided to hit my wee minter...gettin to stone chips etc...so were on road for resparay shortly(original colour)...any hoo...
got sparco front brace...gsi rear antiroll bar to go on...bought ma valver mounts back(why the *** did i sell them its ment to be :D )..brace and roll bar will be gettin fitted this weekend after rear roll bar powder coated red...and gonna strip axle and paint her black.
broke my steering lock off as i lost my key but oh yes i then found it...so new steering lock on order :roll: ....
contimplating different wheels now am thinking euro styleeeeestretched tyres...dont know if i can pull it off...maybe just hit on the cavi turbo rims 8) .....
Found out that my back bumper is wanted :lol: wondered why folk always asked for it wen i was selling her and wen showing pics of her ..now i know ...its a sport one(ubber rareness 8) )...but i am parting with the bumper on exchange for a full GTE kit front and back bumpers and grill...skirts on the shopping list...well just to be collected :wink:
Gte window frames not fitted yet......
Next the interior has to go...but decided aint stripping but getting gte.gsi stuff sr or what ever and hiving it trimmed by my wee painters mate 8)

Oh and am back to work as of today...so be thinking XE very very soon...oh yes...cant wait..not for speed with this one though chaps..unless its crail. 8)

today..or rather tonight:
Went up to mates garage...fired car on the ramp heater on and music cranked...so it begins....
Decided it was time to fit front upper strut brace...so out she came a wee wipe with her been lying for few weeks.....**** boostarding alarm was in way..So decided its coming out...standard GM number she is too and she works 100% :shock: .... so on went strutbrace 8) ...
Then to rear jacked her up...out came the trusty buzz gun wheels now off and in went the freshly painted rear anti-roll bar bolted up she looks braw :D ...kinda out of place as she only red thing under car ... :lol: didt get round to painting axle YET!!
so reasembled,lowered,down wheels torqued and shes braw...manky but braw...
next time for the 1987 original GM phillips tape deck to be removed... out she came and into a nice we bxx to keep her mint..
new Iso came out to be wired to original loom...broke my heart having to cut original wiring :cry: ..anyhoo wired uo and away she went...we have sound....**** wait a minute i have the front set to rear and left to right...what a penis :lol: so out she came 5 mins later shes back in sitting braw 8).
even gave her a wee hoover out!!!was about time tbh...just seem to use it as my refuge sack for ma sh!te ..
mate james clean the dash and all plastics in side(not been done from i bought it :shock: ) as say just drive it lol...
he decided time to see how she reacts to cleaning product's....out came the meguirs and onto the bonnet :shock: :shock: "shes red " i heard :lol: ...then he got bored so said fook it lol...
Plans for next fortnight are...car off road for 3 day(wen off work):
car up in air on latrge stands wheels off...drums and shoes...handbrake off...rear shokies off...brake pipes removed...fuel tank and pipes and exhaust off too..

Underseal removed too"wtf" i hear u say....time for some serious cleaning now...back to the bone....will be cleaned washed with degreaser in every orifice posible....sealed then primed then sealed again..then time for some black hammerite....fuel tank painted red lines teflon coated(when i get something to do it with) or coated in nice green paint!!!...axle will be painted black also...then reasemble and left to dry...
while thats dryin out i will remove interior and vax the carpet to get her back to new(ish)...shes pretty clean anyways no should be fine...
will have plenty pics of the process over next few weeks...
getting her as clean as i can for show season...hopefull paint sometime soon :lol:

Finally got ma centre caps back too from paintshop....just need to find me some griffan badging 8)

Now have a full cage to go in...and full SR kit ....valver brakes and few other bits and bobs including 1.3 sr(which i am sourcing some carbs for) :wink:

Does look good mate :).My first Nova was a red Antibes aswell E500 FWP was the reg,had it for 2 years(had 1 lady owner before me)only sold it because i bought a G plate 1.4SR(a black MK1 shape 1.4SR loved that car)
